Well it might be a soil amendment if you grind them...
Huh?? What’s the base, I only saw fabric pots. I just use a saucer underneath mine. I will water both from top and bottom at least once a week to ensure full saturation. I rarely see roots go through a fabric pot unless it’s on bare ground. Then they grow right through it. Are you using a self watering base with the fabric pots? I have heard of them but haven’t got any experience with them. If you are interested in self watering pots check out the earthbox set up, also known as sub irrigated planters. I have a beast of a tomato plant drinking well over a gallon of water a day through mine.Built two pots for the new system...
A third a little later when I get perlite and worm castings.Amazon.com : AC Infinity Heavy Duty Fabric Pots, 5 Gallon Aeration Reusable Grow Bags 5-Pack with 500G Thick Nonwoven Fabric and Multi-Purpose Rings, for Low Stress Plant Training Fruits, Vegetables, and Flowers : Patio, Lawn & Garden

So I continue as normal until the roots poke through, then water only through the base? Keeping the roots free of the base drain top, got that part.
Anything else crucial?
everyone I know that uses those autopots stops using them to water from the bottom and just waters from the top and use the bottoms to catch water. And this is like 3 or 4 people lolBuilt two pots for the new system...

Literally same thing that happened to me the first time.Looks like the 160 was the only thing that was collectible, got a few small piles ran it 3 times, need more practice, other bags had nothing
When I learned yrs ago we just used a whole wire coat hanger a drill on very low speedLiterally same thing that happened to me the first time.
I think it’s too much plant material clogging up the bags. That paint mixer is way too violent lol
That’s just my input but I’ve only done it like five times now. Had much cleaner results last time mixing slowly and gently by hand with a plastic spoon honestly. Let the ice water do the trick not the whipping lol
Still smokable as fuck though I’d say haha spice up a bowl when you feel like getting a little extra Stoney. Haha
The watering base link didn't show up but this was a package deal, I found the links separately.Built two pots for the new system...

That’s kinda brilliant. I might try this next time. I hand stirred the shit for 15 minutes with a meat tenderizer, nothing else was stout enough to get through the ice. I definitely went heavy on the ice low on the water. And didn’t bust up the bags of ice cubes before adding so there were big clumps of ice in the mix.

I use the self watering base for my fabric pots.....maybe someone out there may know .....I am concerned with the base catching over flow once plant is watered from top. My concern is salts being flushed into the catch basin....then being re-absorbed.Huh?? What’s the base, I only saw fabric pots. I just use a saucer underneath mine. You mean like this? Honestly, I used to worry about that myself and used to put grates on top of these catch trays because I was worried about the same thing since I stopped using the grates I haven’t ran into any problems. And I’m in Coco and feed till a bunch of runoff every day, never clean out the pots or anything for multiple grows lolI use the self watering base for my fabric pots.....maybe someone out there may know .....I am concerned with the base catching over flow once plant is watered from top. Noted!Literally same thing that happened to me the first time.

Hmmm so I'm going to clean them every 5 days lol.You mean like this? I also leave the runoff right in those trays until it evaporates as long as I don’t water too much and think they are going to overflow lol
Well if you’re still using pee I would clean them for sureHmmm so I'm going to clean them every 5 days lol.
