Hi all, first time grower, started with two autoflowers. One seems to be going ok at around 2 weeks of transplanting, not the best because I think I used a lower light setting at the start, but the other seems to be struggling and I see brown markings on the old leaves. The spots might be water burn but I am more concerned about the brown stuff, and it;s also smaller than the second plant. Any advic and guidance would be appreciated.

Looking good . Always a good idea to disturb the soil around the base. Get that top layer active ✌️🤓💨

I wil do that, thank you! Should I be concerned about the brown leaves? the new ones seem alright so not sure if I should start worrying already.

You may have to look into some insect stuff. Don’t be alarmed . It happens. ✌️💨🤓

Looks like they aren't able to transpire enough, should be lightly dancing in the wind. I start in small pots then get slowly bigger that's a lot of soil for me could be anything but if check the wind first and work down.

I think your problem is overwatering , a plant that size will not have much in the way of roots so cant suck up all that water so it just sits there. then they will not grow into the wet bottom half of the pot. it prevents any air getting around the roots as well...i would leave those for a week or two without watering and let the medium dry out .

Id agree with this. How much you been watering @zooh?

Ive been watering when the top soil and the finger check is dry, around 500ml of 6.5ph water, every 2 or so days

Tbh looks environment as in not enough or too much wind.

First place I'd check leaves should be moving not still????

Wind will make it break a grower either you have enough or transpiration issues make your plant look like yours!

I have an oscillating fan inside, the wind gently moves the plants and the leaves

the stem was a bit bendy in thebegining so I added a bit of support, but its standing freely now

here they are today, the problematic one seems a bit stunted but new leaves look fine, the other one seems alright

It looks to me looks to me that the one plant is successfully fighting off some type of insect/problem 🤷‍♂️💪👍

The problem was solved before you posted, was wind seedlings that fall over stand straight after increased air flow, happened so many times when I first started I literally took a long time to study and find the reason. Sometimes the wind doesn't match the light and backing that off can partially help.

Obviously you repotted them which was a change and these days loads of bad things like doming seedlings is seen as great when it's actually terrible for them and transpiration.

Look back you'll find the problem and your fix, all this was pre your post we could never tell you what you were doing wrong really.
