Ok wofe said she wanted to start canning, went out and pulled the Romas only, these are fucking huge

My “CP” heirloom Sicilian variety tomatoes are spectacular just MASSIVE and blemish free, will be running lots of these next year, massively upgraded trellises now that I know how they run, and this is just the beginning, one bucket per variety, the CP’s were 3”2nd in production but 1st in blemish free and fully ripe production, the other variety’s did very well, more blemishes but also just massive, this is the field at picking, all the plants are buried still with unripe and semi ripe varieties, wife got out 50 jars if we hit 100 she says we’re good for this year, sell the rest, we still are running through leftovers from last year she just used 7 jars to make 3 lasagnas, (2 were portioned out and frozen after cooking)

So here’s round 1 we’ll see how far she gets into the first 50
Your into tomatoes.there was a strain zhat is hard to sell because it goes bad fast but its super jucy and taste great any chance you know what i am talking about

Most Roma Varieties ripen extremely fast, the flesh overall tends to be much juicer and softer when fully ripe, less slime and seeds in the interior and more “meat” it’s one reason Romas are selected for canning over beefsteak varieties you have less loss

I’d look into Romas then start trying different varieties

They change so much when I find one I like I buy a few hundred seeds to pull me over for a few years

I get pretty round stems but these celery stalks and ribbed stems... is that a pheno or an environment thing or what? The Rosenthal book basically described one healthy stem/trunk then what are symptoms. Doesn't cover "normal variance range".
I’ve had some heavily ribbed throught the years to me they usually have weaker stems, need more support but besides that I’ve never seen performance issues. I would lean twords pheno over enviornment

Having a flexible 4 stalk light octopus putting out no heat and about 220 PPFD per stalk full spectrum might be a real game changer. Can't turn down the main unless an inline aftermarket dimmer is safe.
Arrives today.
SERIOUS FOC-ASS!
