So I just found out what I’m doing this weekend. Ripping up water damaged floors in my master bedroom closet where our 18 year old water heater shit the bed. Plumbers were here for about three hours this evening pulling out the old piece of shit. Now I have a nice three day weekend to waste at home working on the house. Oh the joys of homeownership. Good thing I’m only mildly claustrophobic
Get a pan when you install the water heater and make sure you check it often unless you have a place for the drain to drain. I had my heater element go out this winter. They replaced it. A few days later
While I nodded, nearly napping, suddenly there came a tapping,
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door —
Only this, and nothing more."
I kept checking no water in the pan went back inside .
As of some one gently rapping, rapping at my chamber door.
Tis some visitor," I muttered, "tapping at my chamber door —
Only this, and nothing more.
Tis some visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door —
Some late visitor entreating entrance at my chamber door; —
This it is, and nothing more
Back into the chamber turning, all my soul within me burning,
Soon again I heard a tapping somewhat louder than before.
Surely," said I, "surely that is something at my window lattice:
Let me see, then, what thereat is, and this mystery explore —
Let my heart be still a moment and this mystery explore; —
'Tis the wind and nothing more
Was it the raven? Never more, that tapping was the upper supply hose dripping right next to the pan creating the rapping. Called the plumber. Never more.
