It's just hot here.
.
Tables have turned for sure. Those were our temps but add in a lot of humidity. Now we are far better and I can't complain.

Hey there the buds on my autos were very big and I’ve tried hanging branches in the past and really had problems with them drying I lost whole plants that way,. Then another farmer told me about breaking the buds Up off the stem and checking them for rot that you may not see..
So to confirm you broke up the big buds and dried them on a hanging rack?

Morning Farmers, I just got done feeding the plants there bloom food and some unsulferated molasses. Did about a teaspoon per gallon about 1/2 of what i give them for now. Just wanted to boost the soil and keep feeding it so it will hold up these hungry flowering gals. They are small in comparison to the other outdoor grows on here but they are strong. One thing i don't worry about is the wind knocking them over. They are going into there 3rd wk of flowering. No signs of catipillars nor any damaging bugs......yet!

Got me about 5 large cantaloupes this ones the nearest to ripening starting to change to orangesh/yellow skin. I want the umbilical cord to dry more LOL 😜 Those are potatoe flowers it's the second bloom in there bed so i'll be digging those up later when the plants yellow an die. I'm off to my sister's down south abit, were all going to a winery music festival near the Applegate area.
Have a safe weekend all✌️

Is there any risk of the hay smell if I break them down and put them in a vertical dry rack? Every other place I have seen for drying advice they say the mesh racks dry out too fast and give you lack lustre weed.
I used one of those last year for the first time. I didn't really have a choice because I don't have room to hang a bunch of trees like these in my place.

The quality didn't suffer at all but some of the buds didn't have the nice shape you get from hanging. They can get a little misshapened. I had so much bud that I had to turn them often while drying to prevent any moisture pockets and potential mold. But I had it overloaded. I didn't really have a choice. Everything turned out just fine.

In general, I've never had ideal conditions for drying and it's never been a big problem. The only issue I've noticed from drying too fast is that it can smoke a little harsh.

I think people stress too much over minutiae when it comes to growing weed.

Good morning all -
I’m looking for information about the “fast strains” because I am growing a couple of Honeyface plants by Twenty20.
They have grown along side the other photos and I couldn’t tell any difference, then this week one of the 2 just accelerated into flower in a rapid fashion not typical of photo plants & the other one seems to be following along.

Pics below are of Honeyface and 1 shot of Super Chocolate that could be a very early photo which was the earliest one into bloom but is outpaced by the fast strain at this point…

Have any of you experienced growers got comparative info to share on these fast strains?
Thank you

Is there any chance the beans got mixed up in germination or transplanting at some point?✌️

I believe I am taking down 7 ladies this weekend. I really wanted to wait another week, but have some crap weather coming. I have been specifically flushing these girls for 10 days. I sure hope it’s enough, I usually would do at least 2 weeks. It’s been 3 days since any water.

Harvesting in August? Must be auto’s!
No not autos. They went into bloom directly after the summer solstice. Tomorrow will be a full 10 weeks of flower. The rest of my girls won’t be ready for another month or so.
We had a severe weather change as well. It is early, I agree, but I’m not letting all those milky and amber trichomes get any darker.
Plus I have crap weather coming next week.

If you have run a nursery as you said in a below post, how would you measure up anything? It said below that you always label and are very careful.
Hopefully you just get some great bud!!

Yes I have them drying in the hanging basket. I’ll put them into jars soon. Now this is my first time drying this way I doubt I will lose any to rot now as far as taste and smell go it’s a bit early to tell but I have no smell since I had the flu. Hopefully all is well

nothing pisses me off more than finding rot inside my buds after hanging them till they are dry.
