I got a question about mother plants. I have about four clones I took off of OG Kush stain. My question is I would like to clone off of them next spring. Can I just keep the plant alive with this 30w grow light and keep it in like a dormant state. Can I keep it in a green house thought the winter as long as it don't flower or freeze. I thought about putting them in a greenhouse and with a light to help it to keep it from flowering with the timer. Has anybody done anything like this. What is the easiest way thats low maintenance way to keep a mother plant through the winter.

I grow them outdoors year round here in Southern California. If you get freezing temps during the winter where you're at, I would suggest indoors but if it only dips down at night you can put them in the sun during the day and bring them inside at night for warmth and supplemental light to keep them vegging.

The colder weather means cold roots and slow growth. So you can keep your mother going as well as the clones, and if you want buds to look at during the winter, just select a clone and stop giving it supplemental light and it will move right along into flower.

Ya I'm in Kentucky and it gets cold. I just want to keep these mothers in veg. I new to it. But I have brought habanero peppers and during the winter and they have kind of went dormant and then stick them back out in spring and they snap back into it. Surely cannabis is similar to it besides keeping the light where it stays and veg.
