well done, great score, a solid press is my next large purchase, but as the results are only for myself and freebies to mates along with I like to heavily research my purchases it's taking its time to align, for a hundred, I would've been all over that as well, happy pressing.

Press question, I like to buy once, cry once, but a mini nugsmasher is $980USD ($1500AUD) plus shipping. I have only ever used the hair straightener previously. I have only small harvest weights to play with. I like to spread that trim around to BHO, edibles, bubble bags, bulking out vaping flower and so on. Temu (eww) has a digital controlled mini press for $165AUD (a brief look see). I will continue to use the press but never with any significant weight, any thoughts welcomed. Go cheap, or, invest once for life.

In all seriousness, if I can get a seed to germinate this weekend, I’ll be running a sub irrigated solo cup.
Homemade, just take the bottom off a slightly smaller plastic cup at 1 1/2-2” and poke holes in it, then cut the corner out enough to stick a pre roll tube through it. This next part is very important. Cut the bottom off of the pre roll tube.
Then flip the cut bottom cup upside down and stuff it into the bottom of the solo, so it creates a little reservoir and run the tube through it to the bottom of the solo cup.
Then carefully fill in with soil. Be sure to leave the pre roll tube above the soil line.
The last step is to put a small overflow hole in the side of the solo cup, at the same height as the smaller upside down cup. This prevents overwatering.

It’s just a matter of opinion, or preference really. How often do you consume concentrates aka dabs , rosin, extract? If it’s your go to favorite way to smoke then buy it, if it’s once in a blue moon, maybe try building your own. I was given a homemade one years ago as a housewarming gift. It’s a control unit with two hot plates mounted onto a frame with a bottle jack on it. No pressure gauge, just temperature control and an lcd display for the actual temperature of the upper and lower plates.
