What week of flower is that Purple Lady, in? I live in Central Maine and my outdoor purple is just at its second week
I am close to 2 months on flowering I started flowering mine early because they were getting so big and they would not start flowering at all and I wanted to make sure they were done before we got frost and cold I have a 10x12 shed that I blacked out the windows started putting them in 12 and 12 every day. I am actually going to harvest them tomorrow I put them in the shed last night and going to let them have darkness for 36 hours before harvest. They have quite a bit of Amber trichomes on them which is great my wife is looking couch lock high. All I know is using the Coast of maine Stonington blend was a game changer for me that will be my go-to from now on.

Here's the other half of the Oreoz
Do you keep that sunshade on all the time?
I’m putting one up… a 40 percent shade cloth.
Wondering if it gets enough Sun without pulling it back occasionally
i only put it up when it goes over 85°f
i live at 5500' and we have 300+ sunny days a year my 30%shade (lets 70% thru)
100% uv at 90° will heat up a leaf.
Plant does better to reduce uv than to have increased light exposure.
Comparable plants my friends have unshaded look like old green astroturf.

I didn't top this plant even once
All LST

Finally a stroke of good luck. The case of the disappearing Amnesia haze auto seeds has been solved. Darling wife came to me Wens and said “I thought you said there wasn’t anything in the last bag.” I said “yup I planted the seeds in the other bags” “come with me” she said, hell I thought my 66 year old ass was getting lucky. “What’s that?” Well fuck, I was looking in the wrong bag. Then today again she says “you got another one in the bag”, “which bag?” I asked, “the same one”, she said. MF’r my too many gin and tonics planted both in the same bag and then forgot which one. Happy Friday to me!

Well western Oregon had a thunder shower today and it broke a branch in two and shifted plants in grow bags so I was out there pulling up and tieing plants and branches.
Got a couple more dumps forecast in the next week or so & might need to do some additional support before they blow in.
Yes bigger is not always better but even the most beat up crop I ever had still provided a good harvest.
Here’s some pics after repair measures & today’s sunrise

Always wondering how much, if any, defoliation should be done on this very dense, healthy, and sturdy Chunky Skunk Indica. I’ve been removing interior side growths and large fan leaves in the dense underside that don’t get any direct sun but I’m concerned about too much defoliation. After all, leaves make the food that feeds the buds. I suppose that chopping all interior side growths of 6” or less could help. Your thoughts and techniques appreciated.
I like clearing one third up everything. After trimming a few harvests, I keep in mind the tiny stuff that is so much effort for such little return, compared to all the good stuff. Trading popcorn for bigger colas in the end.
