We had/have? two, yes two! Not one but TWO worm farms in my area! HUGE business around here, at least it was. Chatting with the soil dude things have tanked on the “big time game” in our area, think it’s like that everywhere though. 🤷‍♂️ went to get a yard, payed for a yard and dude filled my truck bed up!😳🤣 LONG BED! 🤩 had like 2 yards of soil in there😂 i really need to make a trip down there again : ) ✌️
 
I agree....but...the wife don't like the smokey taste. So I meet her half way, I use ham if I have it. I save the bone and scraps from Christmas or Easter ham for bean soup. The flavor from the ham isn't as good as ham rocks though. Thanks for talking about this....it reminded me that I have a whole ham in freezer, bought after last Christmas....they had to many and instead of waste they marked it down.🤣

I got 2 cuts of ? I think one is BBHP and the other? Too small yet. If I don't write shit down this is what happens. Fortunately it's only 2 outta 20ish.

Well I'm looking at these packs of cheap farm seeds that I'm pretty sure aren't what they're advertised to be anyway. There's an Alien OG some expressed really stringy on the sativa side, another laying out thick fingers, lots of weirdness they should have just labeled that bag "curious seeds." 🤣

Gelato looks like Gelato and Blackberry tracks, but honestly I don't know what withe the Alien but it got me thinking I'd love to have a bag of surprise assorted, Forest Gump and all, you never know what you're gonna get. 🤣

I'm of the opinion that [smoked] ham hocks are more flavorful than traditional ham, when making my beans. Like Jim, I use a mix of 15 bean soup and big Navy and or Lima beans.😚😋
We use both. My wife loves Honey Baked Ham. We've got a local store. She'd make hash every year until we started celebrating holidays in the mountains. I'll take a good smoked ham or ham hocks in either hash or beans. We've got enough refried to last us a month. I'll freeze a 2-3 cups.

Damn, now im hungry🤣

Yeah when you get it right lol... "Cherry Bomb" (auto) a dutch breeder, they use "bomb" with their names and the claim is the strongest veg performance I think, it "blows up".
I know one other person got some seeds, I'd like to see what a couple people can do aside from me. I think the flavor is fantastic after better cure.
 
And I am working on a perpetual bean soup pot.
Gotta say making bean soup for 2 people is difficult. I use a spiral sliced ham bone and the attached ham for the base and go between white beans and 15 bean mix.
My trick is after cooking the beans take 20% out and put in blender to pulverize and re add the mix to give it that creamy bean soup feel.
Jalapeno corn bread mandatory during bean soup season.
THIS is interesting. Tavern stew pots were legendary in europe. One place in japan has had one for like 900 years, same pot. This is the stuff in Bill Bryson's "At Home" that is an awesome read. Not just the old ways but how and why and whacky characters associated. Another book I recommend even in audio format.

I woke up to a disaster this morning....2 of my Punta Rojo's decided they wanted to be males. If you remember I mentioned I was scrogging them....well they were/are all intertwined. Any who...they jizzed all over. I can see the pollen on the leaves. I pulled the closest female to the door...broke a couple branches...but got her out of the grips of those boys. Im hoping she didnt get pollinated...we will see. Upset, well yeah....but now im going to have alot of Punta Rojo seeds, and hope to have some bud from the female I pulled.
My concern is I have... 8 ladies in the tent adjacent that are in mid to late stages of flower....one has some amber trichomes, the others are milky....does anyone have any insight/suggestions....are those ladies far enough along if they got spooged on that it wouldn't make a difference. Or should I cut and get what I get before they seed.

When they spill out all over the leaves like that, we should call it "honking," because... well because it's the perfect silly name for it.... "HONK!!!!"

If you ever catch it in the right morning sun you'll know why they say everything around him gets fucked. 😂

My wife like Honey Baked Ham as well .. I dont like the sweet broth or ham for beans....
 
Find a butcher who sells "bacon ends", the rough trim from bacon. THAT is the beans gold.
My boys and I at our campground (sterling stage jam band fest lot) lived on the pot of beans plus stuff and beer. Later on bbq got better but Chairman's Bean Pot was heaven between late night sets. Back then other options included: steak held on a pitch fork, beer set in ice in a pile of pine needles for drainage, dry canned shaved beef usually hormel, and HASH!
 
Im doing my spagetti sauce....a corporate chef for a restraunt group in Pittsburgh taught me to roast my tomatoes, onion, garlic, peppers in oven till they get a little brown, 90 minutes at 400degrees, then run through a Sauce Maker....yhen on stove on low to cook down.
My dad was a mechanic. We lived next door to a professional chef. When my dad would make meals he would come over eat and load up with leftovers. Dude told him your food is so good but your presentation sucks 😂 . I posted a pic of a meal I made with eggs some professional chef’s wife caught eye of it. Dude made it and did all the artsy presentation with my recipe. It was pretty but honestly it was too elegant for a classy guy such as myself 🤣
