I've just started my second run and went straight into large plastic pots. However, I forgot to add perlite to my coco coir mix. I'm currently at Day 8 and wondering if it's necessary to add perlite at this stage, or if I can successfully complete this run using 100% coco.

Coir drains well you should be fine without it

When/ if you transplant you could add some
So, they are already in they final pots lol. I did not plan on transplanting this time.

I run autopots with 70/30 coco perlite mix but during my initial research I've seen plenty of guys using straight coco with great results both in autopots and fabric pots, I'm a noob, repeat, noob, but I say you're good to go, your results compared to your first run may suggest you stick with straight coco, or maybe not, happy grows.

perlite is there just soo you water less.some nutes will get stuck in it soo you will have even better grow if you manage the watering

Perlite isn't essential in coco it works great with or without it, mixes without perlite last better with a feed a day perlite in multiple feeds daily makes more sense?
