Yeah honestly I started using coco because it was cheap. Became what I learned and pieced everything together around. I reuse the shit out of it but hey sometimes dialing in the ph of the water can be a pain in the ass especially with the silica raising it then the ph down not working not working then boom down to 4 point Whatever then baaack up slowly haha if you know you know but every time that happens I start thinking I should switch to so so ssssas sooooiiilll dare I say lmao

Also many people have tried the coco/soil mix thing and failed for some reason it just doesn’t work for shit so if you think you can do it go for it! Make a journal. Tag me haha

51 qts and no perlite although I still find it in some pots as I'm reusing as much as possible and I've add perlite in the past. I'd use this straight and new if I could afford it. I started with The 99 Cent Store 8qt bags for $.99 and then it was 6qt and then 4 for $1.29. Today I buy one of the above about once every month in summer and one every other month the rest of the year. I need to order another soon😉

How about the first pack of GCC x Okie labeled “Frostette” from variety after I won his naming competition to find a name for the strain 🤩 got 1 seed left of em in there!

Oh and there’s other strains from the guy who sent me the 2012 cement shoes I haven’t done yet, they are all needed to be cloned or reversed once planted though as most are 1 or 2 seeds he had left here’s a few

I run testers for everyone haha these Royal queens were all testers from them as well

After buying 100 hits for $100. Loved it. Still look back fondly on that week. It was awesome. Mind blowing and bending. Wouldn't change it for anything, BUT I have no desire to ever do it again. I was like 20 (and maybe after getting married at 21 was it. Didn't wanna do it again. It did do some speed for a decade, coke and meth after that but even stopped that after being offered a line about a foot long and a quarter inch wide. I just got done just like the psychedelics. Today it's the strain du Jour and Vodka, home made cider in the winter, and I'm really happy with that shit😘

I tried it for a few years and then found out that it requires rinsing and buffering, which explains why I always had potassium deficiency issues that were a bitch to correct. Then I started growing with organic soil and living soil. Had less issues than before and never looked back. Had I stuck with it I could have just used pre rinsed and buffered coco and been fine, but maybe someday I’ll try again.

Basically same as me. I just add some new in with the old. Honestly I’ve never seen any difference from cheap bricks to the most expensive coco I’ve bought. This stuff here was 26$ for 1.8 cubic feet. But one thing for certain I Love coco I just. Friggen. Love the stuff.

I have seen a lot of people run it no perlite and now o wanna try it lol does it make a huge difference? Obviously you made the switch but is it just for holding more water or do you see better roots or what?

Also I’ve been doing it all with the cheapest ph pen money can’t afford of anyone thinks they can’t do it haha
