OB

(Orange Bud 2)
Yo

The OB2 was the first strain that made want to grow it again, when I returned to growing last year. There's something very special about it. Seems sturdy as hell, wont bitch around, even if you treat it badly. Plus you can get a nice balanced hybrid high from early harvest and some really hard hitting indica stone when giving it more time. Smell really had alot of Orange to it also, but more like a dry orange, something you would combine with dark chocolate💚🪴

Lazy Sunday arvo. Potted up and defoliated the autos. Going on a month. Winter ended (I'm upside down here) three weeks ago and it has already hit 27-31c (80-86f) for half of the month so far. Usually averages 13-24c (55-75f) this time of year. Dreading summer and will definitely be packing up from dec-mid Feb.

Old school Gas tank (Lindsay OG X Green crack) starting to show it's first signs of maturity. Nice plant. Spewing I didn't hit it with STS or take a cut.

Potting mix brewing mate. Mixed up some peat, compost, mykos/bacillus, frass, biochar, palagonite and gypsum for the next run.
Nice! Full living soil?

I Got the 60 gallon growin cover crop atm!

Back room has the 3x 30 gallon pots, between the 4x8 and 4x4 back there, Frostette is on her 2nd cycle in the 30 in the 4x4 mid week 5 the 2 30’s in the 4x8 are just cycling cover crop till I plant for winter

Still deciding what I wanna do, I have 3 strains coming up but I might only choose 1 for now, for the 60 gallon, then lol decide what I wanna do with the back room, Frostette should chop right about the same time as the outdoor plants then I’ll probably just rock 2-3 plants at a time through the winter we’ll see, so much going on I don’t wanna overdo it 6 tents is a lot to handle on a 15 minute time slot per day lol

I see a massive overall difference between summer and winter indoor grows here, brutal temp swing between the seasons, my cold grows are top farking notch, my hot grows, with 85f to 115f, sucks balls, esp drying, yet I foolishly persist, I have a 9'x12' air con lung room, but damn, it gets hot here

Yep moving back to a living soil for summer. Been using a local potting mix which has been nice but doesn't have the water holding capacity a nice peat mix does. Its fine in winter but coming into summer I'll be watering too often for my liking in the small 3-5 gal pots I've been using these days.

Will be adding some pumice and this nurture all 4-4-4 plus supplementing with fish/kelp and frass.

I'd love to go all out with beds or bigger pots but over here im hiding the whole schtick in a closet. Hard to hide 30-60 gallons of potting mix in me room haha.

The joys of illegality. I'll live through others setups until I can get my own place out stick as I'd preferably be growing outdoors again.

I feel ya mate. Foxtail city come Dec-jan in my case. Plus it's hard to keep humidity down and stay in vPD here so mold becomes a problem too. Decided early to forego the torture for a few months.

Man I miss this sight 🤣 can’t wait till winter lol

every single job I've held aside from one has been in soil agriculture, yet when time to grow weed, I choose coco, drrr, if I could go wild with tent and plant count, I'd try out soil for sure, but grow limitations suck, and that 60g fabric, never seen one before, love it, I like the whole idea of repeat grows in living soil, I do so in my veggie patch, I have an earthpot and room in the 4x4, maybe I will give it a go along side the coco, I like trying everything it seems

@Mikedin I've found I can get through a whole run (90-100) days with the addition of 4-4-4 at potting up around week three and fish/kelp weekly from the onset of flower. Especially with the little plants I'm growing these days.

These have had probably 5 feeds of fish and kelp all up and no top dress this run due to the 3 week flip.

Was going to go back to Coco but the thought of having to check pH, EC and run off was a big no as I'm lazy. Its just tap water daily until stretch finishes and Ive been haphazardly pouring my fish kelp and frass straight out the bottle once a week. Suites a lazy man well.

Same here! Running all those lights in the back I don’t run any ac or dehu all winter just lights and exhausts, room is at up nice back there if temps drop I can close off the crawlspace and room entry and get the temps up 4-5f

The other room is different it’s actually half of my bedroom

So I have it comfortable for me to sleep, we heat with wood stoves mainly in winter and that room has a stove in it in the basement, then main stove is upstairs so we’ll see how it goes this winter in there but I think it’ll do well, I have options to exhaust through the wall into the crawlspace as well as into the crawlspace and I have a hookup right there I can hook into if I wanna exhaust outside, we do have a furnace we let kick in between last log load at 11pm, burns out by 2am, takes till 430-5am before temps drops down to about 72 where we set the furnace, we let it kick on so we don’t have to wake up, then we just toss some logs on the embers at 7am when we get up and start over with wood heat for the day

My winter runs indoor are always more stable temp and humidity in that back room with the 4x8 and 4x4

love the pair of them, nicely done, not to sway but to inform, I use autopots and never check runoff, only ec once per week, and ph every second day, and it just performs, this coming from clay ball dutch buckets which was a little more work, I spend my time training and being dazzled by growth

I’m a huge fan of Gaia green it’s what I’m running the outdoor on in addition to the build a soil amendments

I used to do straight Gaia green runs before I switched to full living soil, but I still use it outdoor and on my hydra mother plant

the outdoor has had a top dress of Gaia green each 5 gallon bucket for 8TBS 4-4-4 and 14 tbs 2-8-4 each, and I’ve been watering weekly with my homemade FFJ from mangoes and bananas, some Alaska fish fert (cutting out the fish fert now it’s far enough into flower)
