Week 2 day 3 of flower and so far I'm really happy with how things are coming along. My scrog screen i made bigger then I planned to fill so I didn't run into the problem of not enough space thats why I went from a 4x4 tent to an 10ft×10ftx9ft grow room. I kept maxing out the grow tent and as a result restricted my yield and quality(nothing wrong with tents they are great). Using the scrog technique i can see already the amount of bud sights have doubled if not tripled! This is also my first F1 cross! So far thier really similar to one another with one of the most putrid smelling stem rubs I've ever smelt!! They smell like actual human shit with a sweet lemon background, its the strangest smell that you cant quit smelling it but at the same time you dont! Lol!! Anyway they are the product of feminized Runtz from Seed Supreme and a single seed from a decade ago from a friend that was said to be Shiva Skunk which is Northern Lights #5 X Skunk #1 and from the other seeds that produced females i seen my friend grow they definitely seemed to be the real deal and what he claimed it to be.(I cant wait until a cannabis DNA testing is a thing!) So the one seed produced a beautiful male like id hoped it be, and grew him out and collected the pollen before the females were put into flower and I was able to produce 4 seed lines. 2- runtz X Shiva Skunks and 2- Chemdog #4 X Shiva Skunks and I tried the the most candy like runtz cross to try first. Who knows maybe I just get good cannabis and nothing to special, thats ok I have a lot of F1 seeds to go through until I do find what I'm looking for. My hope is that when I find what I'm looking for and stabilize my cultivar that people of excellent character and work ethics will be willing to grow out and stress test my new cultivar line and take down the necessary data for me to collect and improve the line! So I encourage anyone and everyone to follow my grows as my grow room evolves along with my growing skills! No matter how much you think you know there's always someone that knows more then you and theres always something else to learn! I've been growing since I was 15 years old and I'm 39 now! But this is my 3rd indoor grow ever and it was like learning to grow all over again accept with my foundation it was easier to learn obviously. Those years serves me well. I grow fully organic and working on a fully closed loop system. I make my own compost and castings as well as a handful of other amendments I make myself. My goals are to create fantastic cultivar lines for the artisan quality homegrower! Im also in the process of scaling up my composting and vermiculture with other amendments as well to sell to artisan homegrowers of all types not just cannabis! When the buds start becoming something more to look at ill start posting more often, on my techniques, trials and tribulations, successes and failures! Hopefully failures remain far and few between! Stay tuned in for the next round also, I'm trying out 2 new cultivars to see if theres any potential for another project I'm gonna start. They are Diesel from Blimburn and Peanut Butter Poop from Thug Pug! Watch as I attempt to more then double my yield from the 4x4 where I maxed out 2 times in a row at 1.6lbs to my new goal of 3.5lbs. And next grow i will have more lights and that goal will again increase to regularly hit 1 lb a plant making it 4lbs+ per grow from 4 plants. Just to add i start off with 30 plants and I weed them down to 4 females and 1 male as I pheno hunt making the biggest bang for my space! Homegrowers are superior to lage commercial grows any day of the week boys and girls!
whatever yer doing pls share the knowledge around the forums here. Keeping a balance is challenging until it becomes muscle memory. Can't wait to see pictures in two months!!
