Flower Day 37

I gave my 2 Girl Crush some FFJ last night for the second time. I made it out of a banana a couple weeks ago. I also sent that AC Infinity Ion beam back because it was only UVA and is totally worthless to me for what I wanted it for. The website said for enhancing flowering stage and secondary metabolites. UVA really only has an effect during the veg stage. It helps create a shorter plant with wider leaves. I wanted UVB for terpenes and trichomes.

My light is cranked up to 100% so I had to lower my light to 18" in order to hit an average of 820 ppfd across my canopy. This is almost as much as a plant can use unless you supplement co2View attachment 2510787

Mine are at 18 inches .. and by accident.. I just kinda guessed. Didn't think of measuring it until I read your post. Ladies looking spot on.

Further early purpling. The right plant still hasn't started. another 3-4 weeks and I can start checking Trichs

Just got my UVB light tonight. It's a 38 watt LED strip that is 33" long. I am going to run it 1 1/2 in the early afternoon and 1 1/2 in the evening before lights out to start and see how it goes.

Flower Day 51

Getting close...2 or 3 weeks left. Top leaves are a blackish purple and the lower leaves are being discarded. Even the other one is starting to color. This strain always turns purplish at the end, but this is the first time I have seen it this early.

The two Querkle cuttings have gotten out of hand. I took 8 cuttings from the top of teh right one last week and you'd never know. I just dressed it for flower so I'll change light in a week. I gave her 1/8 cup of 0-11-0, 1/8 cup of kelp meal, 1/8 cup of sprouted barley meal 2 cups of castings and 2 tablespoons of Kashi.

This is my solution to my space problem

I wasn't exactly ready to flower it, but it was growing into the light and I had a choice: leave it in ambient room light or flower it a week early. I have 2 Atrium Hydra 1000s over it beside my 3x3. I unzipped it to cover the back wall and side wall of my closet. As long as the door is closed, light leaks will not be a problem. Now I have to figure out how I am going to get airflow to it. I dont really want to cut holes in the closet door.

Querkle Flower Day 5
I ran out of room in my seedling tent and was forced to flower this Querkle 2 weeks before I planned to. The kashi I sprinkled on it a week or so ago has caused a nice bloom.

Yes, I feed any leaves I pull back to the soil.

My plan is to slide this Querkle Earthbox over under the 300 watt Maxsisun after these 2 Girl Crush are done. They have about 10 more days. I wont be able to scrog it becasue I will be 15 days into flower by that time. I do have one of those cheap scrog nets I got with my Vivosun tent. I should be able to spread the tops out pretty well.

Unless the plant is begging to be chopped (which is rare) I don't even think about chopping till week 9.. Good call on that one.

I have been a member of UK420 .com for 15 years, though I haven't been active lately...since I joined here. But I recently visited the site and retrieved some of my old pictures. Most of them are 13-15 years old.

Here is my first outdoor grow that I did in 2010. It was just bagseed from some Mexican brickweed. You will never gets buds like this is a brick of mexican weed.

Started water starving this grow a few days ago because I am in the last week or so of flower and I shut off and dismantled the UV after it ran its afternoon cycle. In the ANF we have medium-high humidity most of the fall so I will probly dry in my shed.

The left pheno is completely de-void of green now except a pinch here or there on the lowers. Trichs are all cloudy with about 10% amber. I like mine at 30% amber.

The pheno on the right may go longer, its just now reaching close to 100% amber.

I put the scrog net that came with my Vivosun tent on to spread the Querkle out. Its the tall plant on the left side of the closet. The net has 6 inch holes so its worthless for anything permanent. I have a 3x3 net stretched to 4x3. After my Girl Crush are done I will slide the Querkle into its place.

The Querkle, btw, have started crowing after 11 days flower.

I cant wait to get in there and clean this up next week.

In the beginning of flower, when do you typically defoliate? I usualy do it a little at a time during the whole first 3 weeks, but I haven't grown a regular plant in years. It is a completely different structure so I'd assume it was better one way over the other?

Depends on the plant.. some are bushy fucks.. so yeah, before during and after on those type, but if the rare leaf to bud ratio is good, Then I clean up the end of the stretch. Just clear out leafs covering bud sights sounds right. And I saw it somewhere that the center leafs should go... so I concentrate the center leaves mostly. Meaning I'm trying to get light shining as far down as possible through the center without making the plant look abnormal (if that makes sense) Leaves do provide energy. Been playing with that for couple years, seems to be working.

I'm trying to scrog... I don't think I've been patient enough to stretch them out enough. Medicating for 45.. nice.
