Yes, you can definitely use blackstrap molasses as a natural carbohydrate source for your soil. It feeds the beneficial microbes in the root zone, which helps overall nutrient uptake. Standard mix is about 5 ml per liter of water, just like Phyto mentioned.

I wouldn't add black strap mollases unless you are brewing a tea. It just kinda spikes microbe food, then it balances back out. Check out what the guys from Rockymountain Supply have to say about Molasses. I follow their Recipe for the last 9 years. I never use Molasses and have no Problems without it.Scroll down, almost at the end, under Clean Water.....I wouldn't add black strap mollases unless you are brewing a tea.
