What you see is different from what I see. Your perspective is I'm imagining it. My perspective is you're not here.

You don't feel anything. So when you squeeze your hands feel nothing. When I squeeze I've got something really firm that I'm pushing. With perfect air channels and light channels throughout as they filling solid and getting solidly wider.

I'm not going to put a caliper on it for you. I'm not that level of crazy, at least not for other people.

That's okay. I get more light. I get more light everywhere. And I use it better.

I'd love to do a ray tracing of every plant someone else grows and compare it to this one. I get 10 times more light than anyone else using 10 times less source.

But beyond that. I don't need it. Photosynthesis is a waste of time for a plant in flowering. It should get all its energy from its stored sugars or anything you add to it. The only reason for light is to stimulate the receptors to get the growth. If that growth can show up using energy that's either stored or supplemented that's not based on current light, It's much better.

I get direct stimulation because my buds are open. Yours is shielded through the outer portion. So you get less light to start off with due the shielding and you think you need more because you're not getting enough to start off with because of this shielding. So you balance what you don't need at all.

Observation/making stuff up..

When the inside of Bud's growth, they don't expect to photosynthesize. They don't get enough light for that. That light's blocked by the outer shell.

So they start white and then go yellow and go holy shit. There's way too much light here. And they start pumping out the chlorophyll and say let's get a little protection. Let's absorb some of this light just because it's here.

It's a waste of effort. They grow without it, they don't want it, they just need whatever they expected to be filtered through that outer shell if they were closed.

Okay, I'm almost there. It's solid enough to lean on and lay tools on. One piece is screwed to the floor. Most of it is hot glue. I'll attach it to the rest and firm it up in a bit.

All materials were gifted by various neighbors. I simply do favors when they ask or if they don't and they just drop stuff in my lap.

Mighty aggressive of you. Have you ever asked anyone else to measure like this? Of course, no one ever has claimed this level of growth. It bounces both ways on the annoyance versus the appreciation of your paying attention.

Today was spent ripping apart the downstairs kitchen and reconfiguring it as the tool space. My wife wants to be able to grab stuff at will so I'm going to organize everything indoors because winter is coming and everything was outside in the sheds.

I picked up a router table yesterday. 52 bucks at the used store. I love it. I picked up an orbital sanding device that is pneumatic driven. I will have pneumatic connections throughout my house hidden behind a variety of pretty wood. I picked up a pneumatic brad nailer. I picked up a whole bunch of other stuff. I got stuff to do.

And you want me to pull out a caliper? No, I'll just sit here and look at the plant and enjoy it and think about all I've accomplished today.

Because I pulled out the jigsaw and I grabbed a piece of wood that my wife marked up and I cut it down the center with a bunch of wavy lines and she's going to turn it into a river table.

What did you do today?

Okay, maybe a little aggressive.

I got shit to do. I'm happy to kick back right now and ramble. And I'm still not pulling out the caliper.

How much work do I put in to satisfy kg1's requirements. I have no problem with the confidence of what's growing. He's just a pain in the ass. He's really smart and he gives good advice but he's a pain in the ass. Is he worth it?

Do I pull iut the caliper and do measurements on a weekly basis?

This is a dance monkey dance moment. I simply want to tell him to fuck off. But he's going to come back and hassle me. So I got to figure out if I want to stick around for the hassles

In the real world I've handed off about a half a pint of cannabis oil to my doctor who prescribed my license to grow it in the first place. She's going to be happy to take my brochures and hand it to her patients. She's going to rub it on herself because she's going in for hip replacement surgery next week.

I've spent my whole life dealing with this type of stuff. Here's something new, yeah, it doesn't make sense, oh my God, it just destroyed your career. Do you understand what you see or do you choose to ignore it?

So after I dropped off my oil at the doctors I went to the used store and I allocated a hundred bucks for a whole bunch of tools and I wanted 140 bucks worth of stuff and a hot woman just handed me 40 bucks because she thought I was worthy. I was in the process of putting stuff back because I passed my budget. But I was going to get that router table. She saw me doing that and decided I shouldn't suffer.

I have infinite money for my tools. I create a budget just to make sure I don't go crazy. I'm very good with putting stuff back. But this woman wanted to give me money and who am I to say no after she really insists when I try to.

There are so many ways that could go. It's a story and you're not going to get it. But yesterday was ass kicking.

Your life, everybody else's life, 99% of your lives, suck compared to mine. Yesterday was ass kicking and today's better.

So I don't need to ramble online, but I enjoy posting pictures.

I've got 1 to 2 years of r&d to determine if this can actually be commercialized. Simultaneously. I have to build a market for it in my state. Simultaneously I have to deal with the legislature and have a few laws passed or regulations pushed.

It's all fantasy.

I'm happy to take input. I'm happy to go away. I got what I needed which was all kinds of growers are and all kinds of stuff at me. And now I understand all things about the colors and I understand how to deal with the various arguments.

Thank you for being the focus group and for being the experts who know far more than me. I've long ago accepted. I'm not the expert in most things and even when I am there's a shitload of stuff I don't know.

1% THC says it's commercially viable. 10%. THC says it'll destroy everything else.

I'm still not sure what the actual product is.

You really have no intellectual rights or anything you can register, patent or copyright.

All methodology could be easily copied.

You haven't dealt with the carcinoma issue another brought up apart from to seperate but even then the trichs of lower THC and stress will also show non desirable components.

Separating 1% THC from bud isn't really commercial otherwise the hemp industry would be producing the same by-products of THC.

The time you took to achieve this means normal growers would out scale you on the production many times over and many of us are buyers growers and sellers so understand.

No one needs the industry, all equipment is available elsewhere, this doesn't translate into outdoors either.

R&D takes five seconds but I don't see anything to peer review and get the relevant companies to get onboard with. You might need two years but I don't neither would a company, essentially they don't care squat what you do they just want one testable theory and they will issue a fat check and employ you there and then. If this was about light spectrum they have growth chambers they could run every ratio if every spectrum of red in under a month and come back and say yes you were right....

Even if you went to university for two years you still wouldn't understand any real plant science either.

Why are you so against an objective measurement of your plant? I have to assume its because you already know what a measurement would show and dont want to show the forum. Also its pretty rich to complain about people being assholes after acting and self describing as one yourself.

I think if I try and sum it up as -

By heavily training, pruning and redirecting branches a greater surface area for light can be made.

Any stress and loss is meant to be superceded by volume of bud made.

And that one of the many amendments or red light spectrum and ratio made superior growth that has commercial value.

Posting without reading anything since my last post. I'm cutting and pasting from somewhere else and I closed my eyes for the scroll.

Various observations.

Color is a kindergarten issue. I'm past color. I've learned my colors. Maybe someone needs to go back to kindergarten. Not my issue.

Each time I take a picture I reframe it because I have to move further back because it gets bigger. Maybe people don't understand visual perspective and have no ability to compare the vastly shortening distances between the branches. Not my issue.

I've learned what I need to learn. I've proved what I need to prove.

Next will be increasing the light on one side. It will be adding UVB in very carefully constrained areas. When I do my extract I will bring multiple pieces to them to test because I want to know growth versus UVB damage versus what it does to the THC if anything.

Of course I'll pay for the full terpene breakdown. That's an extra charge but as a medical patient they tell me I get 50% off everything so it's all within budget pretty soon enough.

I'm not going to cut the branch. I will simply take scissors and cut areas across and drop them into a bowl. That's it. I'm not going to kill any of the buds directly. At that point it's ongoing harvestable if they continue to grow. I think they will.

I'll build out a variety of hydroponics because I want to do that for real food. The cannabis is a side project on that. I have everything ready to construct a wildly complex 3 x 55 gallon drum filter system for my pond and winter's coming so I'll be happy to just take all that gear and repurpose it for hydroponics. It's all brand new.

I have the plastic root ball things that you put on the branches and of course I have all the required hormones etc.

How do you make a hormone? Don't pay her.

I've burned out one random hydroponics fish tank pump in 30 seconds and now I'm figuring out food safe sump pumps. I have the one that I empty my pool with so I'll start with that after I clean it well. I'll have multiple going simultaneously on multiple circuits. I'll be sure those never dry out.

Then it's time to scale.

Assume root balls make it in 6 months. That's the asteroid. Or the hyperspace bypass. Depends on your point of view.
