Harvesting and the rest is easy! Getting them to harvest is a bear! I have always hated big plants! Ma nature stopped by in June and we had a little talk and I said I was going to grow a few plants again! She said, OK! I’ll see what I can do! So she gave me plants that are three or four times as big as last year! I knew she was up to something! So now I have to work my 70 year old ass off and that doesn’t sit well with me! But it is what it is! I didn’t think they could grow this big in a 35 gallon pot, water only all summer! A few stalk shots for Gnick!View attachment 2537829View attachment 2537830View attachment 2537831 time for some more beer and baseball!🍻 and if that sounds like sniveling, it is!😢😢😭😭😂🍻
Yaaa

Supposed to be light rain most of the night! We’ll go out and clean up the mess in the morning! Beginning to think I died and went to Ohio! Or Michigan!😆🐒
It's been a heck of a season, even here! Our monsoon is due to set in soon. I thought I lived in the desert!

Copper Mountain is already making snow haha oh ya it will be fun

Well, the Jade Nectar guy was gushing about Sinaloa today! Time to go out back and see if Mine are still standing! Along with all the rest! Fingers crossed!😁🐒
Man I think you turned me on to that jade nectar dude, he's a funny mf.

Let us know how they fared after the rain.
And what did Jade like about it? The grow or the consume part?
Both! And he said that a Jalisco that he grew a couple of years ago is still talked about on his farm! Hope I get one of those phenos! He showed two phenos of Sinaloa today! One chunky which is being harvested today! And one like I have, which won’t be ready for a long time. I gather that this Mexican, when treated right, can hold its own against any land race in the world! But it was the comments from the growers on the land race team website that convinced me to give it a try! Sinaloa and Jalisco! 12 feet of Sinaloa! And a couple of bent ones also!

He’s my new guru! If you’re into land races outdoors, it’s the place to be! From seed pop to harvest! I’ve learned a lot there! I already had my beans and then stumbled across JN probably through Nick! That was my lucky day!

Finally out of the mountains, no deer or bear. Rained for several days, drug the trailer down to the flatlands for the winters. Now that I have bandwidth, here’s the volunteers:

Not too shabby for basically doing nothing to them, and only seeing them 4 times all summer! Going back up in about 2 1/2 weeks to close up the place for the winter and do the “habeas yankus”.

I’ll be damned! Look pretty good! Looks like you can grow some pretty good weed if you stay away from it!😂🍻 bummer you weren’t able to fill the freezer! My brother tried to get a B zone tag and they said they were sold out! I can’t believe there are 35,000 deer hunters out here in B zone! I better double check that! I didn’t look, but the season might still be open the next time you go up!

I do have a neighbor (about 5 miles away) who will check on the plants for me, I told him to tear em out if there's any sign of bud rot. I find that most problems with growing weed are from "killing them with kindness".
Some of C zone will still be open when I go back up, maybe I can get in on the migration! All I can figure is they're still up around 8000-9000 feet. It is hard to believe B zone sold out, but it's a huge zone. It was always the "go to" tag if all else failed.

I've watched some Jade Nectar and done a little reading to try and understand this "land race" thing. Near as I can tell it's the idea of have a strain that's native to the area where you're growing but I'm missing something, like, how does one get started trying to find the right seeds to grow in any particular area?
