This is my first grow and I need help! I've watched that many YouTube videos I'm now confusing myself and thought I'd come to the experts to hopefully help me!
So on my first plant I'm not sure if it's turning into a hermi or something cause what are these? Are these balls? I thought she growing so beautifully then I noticed these? Are they normal? Please help I thought I was doing so well now I've run into this!

They are probably calyxs and that's what bud is lots of balls all stacked together.

Feel like you tube should have explained that part it's sort of 101 stuff 👍

And on my next plant she has the same green little pod type looking things but some of her flowers the tips of the leaves have browned and from my vast experience in watching YouTube channels lol this could refer to quite a few things so it's got me fucked and tbh I don't care if I sound like a dick to get the answers I need to save my plants, I don't know the terminology for shit so please excuse my lamen terms and please respond in them! Hahaha yeah I know..

But here are some pics and I hope someone can help a chic out

Yeah they did explain that bro but the more I look at them the more I don't know, it doesn't help that I have a vision problem and am legally blind and an overthinker just to top it off so I'm doing my own head in!
Did you see my second post in regards to the tips of the leaves ?
I would appreciate your input on this too please if you don't mind?
And just to confirm calyxs aren't bad?

So how can I tell properly if a female has been pollinated then

It's a female plant, it only grows calyxs, if a male pollinates it seeds grow inside the calyxs, assuming you have no male plants it's unseeded bud.

Here are some pictures and definitions of calyxs or balls -

Male plants, normally after a while you can see the seed in the calyx as it slits it open a little sometimes. Pollen falling from male pods that split open into multiple banana fingers. Male plants look very different to female.

As an epilogue I'll make Herms Hermaphrodites or Hermies depending on what you or others call it.

There's no strain that doesn't herm so assume every plant has the genetic potential to.

Why does it happen - stress, in the wild if it didn't get pollinated at least it can seed something for the next year. Bad weather and climates can cause pollen not to travel from the male to female so having the genetic ability to do this ensures survival of the species long term.

What do they look like, a male pollen sack see above or just one of the pollen sack fingers or bananas as we like to call them and because they look like miniature bananas see above again.

Such is life, pluck these off and carry on, eventually with experience this will stop happening and you won't find any random seed in your bud.

The seed will be feminised as a female pollinated itself with out involving a male. Seed is great to use probably like the plant it came from in many ways. Can throw away if you prefer to buy seed and bought seed could be more uniform to it's strain.

I don't see this in your grow or seeds it that anything looks seeded, it's not over yet but now you know for if and when that happens as it's common to see with newer growers.

Good luck and all advice costs you five grams upon harvest I will pm you my address then 💯

I think you two are talking past each other a little bit.

@mullgasim could you share the details of your grow? Grow media/nutrients/temperature/ light etc. It would help out your plant and it's condition into context for anyone reading.

Dont see any nanners.

We could give you better all round advice if you provide us with what you're feeding, what medium you use, lights, how much you water, age and its environment.

Use the overall look of the leaves to determine health. A bit of burned tips is fine but you should use that as a sign to look at what and how you're feeding and adjust. This amount of stress shouldnt cause herm, but if you keep piling stress on to it, and the leaves keep burning further, you never know.

So first thing is learning to read your ladies. They "speak" constantly. Just take your time, there's a lot going on behind growing and there's no way you'd learn it all in 1 grow (: I like to write everything down I read, hear and see in vids, compare all the advice and research, make my own red line and follow it. The rest will follow with time. Mistakes are good.

If she herms you'll see banana like pods growing on top of the flowers. Called nanners, for a reason (: if you spot them you could pick them out, carefuly.

Do you have male plants in the advanced stage of throwing out clouds of creamy yellow pollen?

If no it's not seeded.
No but what if one turned hermaphrodite and already pollinated itself and the others?

You've some great advise and I wish I had of started to journal their grows, next time hey?! I would like to mention that this all blew up from a seed we found in a bud a lovely lady gave us at the bus stop one day and she started what is going to be her illustrious life under the little strip lighting you get for under tables and shit with a shark tool light as well... Bloody hilarious she's going lovely I call her wild child and I think she's classed as a bag seed or something which I don't get cause he's got em all in a bag?? Honestly my head just shuts down sometimes cause it goes on and on and on !!
I have two of them, bag ladies my arse my wild child and her sister from another mister are gonna show these skitz whose boss! Haha ,🤞and two feminised skittlez fuck knows how you spell it lol I've been smoking weed for over twenty years but never really got into the name and stuff but love the bong ettiquute... So I hope this helps you for you to help me!! Hahaha thanks heaps hey, I really do appreciate it and feel free to tell me shut up I know I dribble shit, to me in chatting to others I can be a bit of a chore I think! 🤣 Fuck em and as I said I'm new and legally blind... Hence my dramas I can confidently say that they all have a lovely perfume and I can see if I get them to my nose basically so I bought a little eye glass thingy but that just magnifies my blurriness as.my corneas are corrugated..
They are growing in Coco coir mixed with some perlite and I feed exactly how the bottles say which is cana flower or something I'll show you a pic in a sec and I try and keep the pH between 5.8 and 6.2 and I love talking to my ladies but it gets bloody muggy where I've got my ladies which is my store room I think you professionals call it a lung room which is my next drama as I live in western Australia and get mine months of summer which is about to hit so I need to figure out how to keep my ladies chillin as well
Think my partner bought an aircon to chuck into the window and run a pipe into the downlight or some shit again I just love to smoke it! It's not like growing parsley lol but I don't smoke shit dope mate and Id hate to grow it so hope all these pics and my dribble helps you help me!!:
What I want is the Cana oil or butter cause I've just started getting into making edibles, lollypops to be precise I call them pot pops!! Haha (I haven't patented that yet but all you guys know it's mine it's written in black and white! Lol) I have multiple questions about cooking the stuff but let's get the flowers to grow properly and mature first hey? My tulips didn't grow and I'm Devo these ladies better not let me down, don't think they will though they are staunch ladies
Ok photo time

PS and please don't laugh at me, but I thought, well didn't think it cause I don't know if the little hairy things changed colour it's been pollinate? Information in that would be great too, and anyone that loves to cook with is live to chat with as well!

Sorry if I am annoying anyone with all my questions and dribble but it's the only way to learn, I'm not about to pretend I know something of I don't I only do that with my partner.. 😉
Thanks again and looking forward to to your responses... And 5 g? This shits gonna be worth its weight in white truffles..

No problem ;p all my mates got adhd. Grow diary is never a bad idea.

The room the tent is in is your lung room. Think a good AC will do fine.

Pistils changing colour depends on the colour. Its supposed to turn amber with age, brown means its dying from either environmental stress or pollination caus its done its job. I wouldnt worry to much about pollination.

I can confirm lollipops have been around for a long time, unfortunately. A quick search will get you loads of recipes. I, and loads of others here cook with it a lot so if you want to know something, ask away.
