I have been spending every morning with the girls, enjoying a few dry, warm and sunny days...I keep hearing Tom Petty singing "The waiting is the hardest part"....How much longer do you guys think Ill have to wait? Bud rot isn't joke so I watch them like a hawk...only pulled two little ones...my test buds aren't ready but taste awesome...lol....when oh when may I begin that final stage???
WoW those buds are fantastic in color. What final stage, you mean to harvest?

Kudos! You made it to October! As long as they’re good and cloudy!😃👍 did you ever look at the roots or a cross-section of the stalk on the other one?
Here ya go.

The bad spot on side of stalk, 6 nodes up. Along with hole in it.

That last one is beautiful.

Thinking of drying in my garage this year. What kind of temperatures will you be dealing with?
Im drying in my man cave/shed.
Set up two fans set on low, near the floor. I have them positioned so they spin the air in the room, clockwise. Then a double window fan mounted in the loft, blowing out the vent.

It's low 80s outside. Inside is about 72°f. Don't know RH, but it's comfortable. Smells like weed, too.

Temps are slowly dropping, in my parts, so that's good for slowing the dry some and not burning up the terps.

Bringing them in at work. Bummer. Last harvest. Wheelhouse is shutting down. These taxes on top of the oversaturated market. The state isnt gonna get all those proposed taxes. Many are shutting down first. View attachment 2541129View attachment 2541130View attachment 2541131View attachment 2541132
"Holy fuck!"is literally what came out of my mouth when I saw this. Holy dam you would be the perfect person to share a secret i learned about fan leaves. You can make bubble hash from the fan leaves as well and it will bubble and be super strong. It's a little different than extracting trichomes and what you will get is a plethora of different cannabinoid oils and not necessarily super high thc. You get extremely stoned from the hash extracted from fan leaves. I threw out my leaves for years before trying this. Get fresh Frozen ( I would literally use plants that had not flowered and male plants as well) put the fresh material in the freezer. Once it's nice and Frozen get ice cold water and ice put it in a bucket like you would bubble hash but put the fresh frozen into a blender and blend it with ice water until you see thick white to yellow foam. Pour as many blenderfuls as you can and stir it around with the ice in the bubble bag bucket like you normally would. What you'll end up pulling is a super dank oil rich full melt depending on how much material you use. I tried sharing this a long time ago on Facebook by text and people had their minds made up and had never even given it a try. Focusing solely on one form of THC they completely forget the hundreds of other psychoactive cannabinoids and their medicinal benefits. This kind of hash is also perfect for people who are sensitive to really high levels of THC because it is rich in other cannabinoids and not THC as much. Beautiful crops BTW! I've been practicing the art of bubble hash and ice wax for 14 years and it only gets better and better with knowledge and experience! Purple hash in general we would take the water below the 25 micron screen and put it on the stove to make tea that tasted really good and was activated. Add a little sugar and its great.

yeah...I am watching trichomes and they're not very cloudy yet..im hoping next week? we had a wicked warm sunny dry day today...s couple more and that should help..
they usually get snackies on Thursdays...a super bud booster..I am being neurotic at this point probably...but I want to stop feedings one week before I pull them so I can flush em out..all mother nature from the start, no pesticides, no chemicals just water and love and nutrients...lol

That last one is beautiful.
Thanks, Im thrilled with the color and form of these flowers...im going for quality first..then crank up the quantity...my first season I got 28 Mason jars full...not tightly packed..airflow...I cure in mason jars
..this year it wont be alot but Im looking forward to tasty and fuzzy and mellow....lol

I have a 16’ x 8’ enclosed trailer we hauled atv’s and a ‘23 roadster pickup. We have been using it for drying a few years now and the hanging wire is left in there with the fans and dehumidifier. We hang branches over the wires that are spaced about 2’. We will fill that and have another small room in my shop for any overflow.

Thats right....this season is officially over for this fella.

Glad I did, found some more bud rot during the chop. It'd have been total disaster if id let her ride another week. I'd hate myself if I'd lost buds like this.

Hey Hoss...I just pre-dried my Blue Dream....same fashion....it dried pretty fast...I thought to fast....I trimmed it up got 4 10x20 fish trays I'd say 4 inches deep....full of good buds.....attached to branches still.....I placed them single file in the hanging net drying racks. The buds are still very wet....will let them stay in drying nets for another 5 days. Then off to the salad trimmer.....this process was a necessity due to shoulder replacement. But I think it will be the norm....works for me. I sit on a quiet night and take the weed out of the groove bad....pour onto trimming tray...and snip the remaining sugar leaves the salad trimmer doesn't get.
Everyone has there own process....
The weather is turning fall in these parts as well...60's...and 40's at night. Have you got all your crop down....I still have some patio pots to go...
