I don’t see any reason why not! As long as you’re sure it was killed by the cold! And not something harmful to your health!Question? The ethos tenth planet which apparently died from a cold snap. The plant was going to get pulled and burned, but has been left alone for now, It’s drying nicely, and tonight I rolled one. It was fire.

I'll post pics tomorrow. But this evening after harvest, I sawed the end off the bottom of the stalk, I'd cut with large pruners ( smash cut)I don’t see any reason why not! As long as you’re sure it was killed by the cold! And not something harmful to your health!

But there's a perfect hole bored thru the center of the stalk. I was attacked from within. Question is..from below or above did it come from. We'll look at roots, come that time
Yes. I believe it was the cold. Under magnification, nothing unusual in the buds, no mold, no mildew, no signs of mold or infestation. I think I’m good.I don’t see any reason why not! As long as you’re sure it was killed by the cold! And not something harmful to your health!
With the damn fusarium is kind of hard to tell I think! It’s important to examine the interior of the stalk in a cross-section and see if it looks like it’s got some rotten stuff in there! Just from what I’ve researched on the web! The wilt is the only outside indicator, and that can be caused by other things!Yes. I believe it was the cold. I'll have to dig mine up, once I pull the last two limbs. Curious myself.Cross section is clean. Roots were basically rotted away…View attachment 2541234View attachment 2541235View attachment 2541236View attachment 2541237View attachment 2541238
Very curious. Not Verticillium, what mine died of last year, 'cause the stalk is clean, no vascular obstructions. Doesn't look like critter damage either.Cross section is clean. Yeah. If the inside was “nasty” or even slightly nasty, she was going to the burn pit. I didn’t see, smell, or taste anything off, so I didn’t see it as a problem. With the damn fusarium is kind of hard to tell I think! I’m still going with the cold snap killed it, while the roots were simply deteriorating away, until I dug it up. The stalk easily ripped out with no roots. I actually did dig around the stalk a couple weeks ago to “investigate”, and then the roots were not rotten.Very curious. It's amazing how these plants can live and thrive on a compromised root system, until, they can't.
Yes. We have groundhogs here. Moles, voles, mice, muskrat, too. I never seen any rats though.I don’t know if you have them back there, but it wouldn’t be the first plant gophers have killed! Just glad you can use it!![]()
How do you like that little Milwaukee blower? Glad you bought it? How about a quick review.Another beautiful, but wet day. The leaf blower got a workout today.
