The metal one is great.
I find the jeweler loop a pain in the ass....especially if your vision isn't the best. I use my camera....zoom in on bud. Take picture, then use your phone to zoom in more.

I wouldn't think weed killer or the such would be sprayed this time of year. If possible, ask the land owner what was applied. He'll know.
This is exactly the time to spray pre emergent. Early spring and after last fall harvest. If the land owner is the tender he'll know but a lot of land is leased.

Just had two 35F degree nights, back up to low 40's at night. Ten day has highs 50's to 60's and they keep fattening up. This is my first outdoor grow, and in living soil with worms / food and it's been very rewarding. Had to supplement and add some flower nutes a few weeks ago but besides that been mostly work food. Still seems like mostly clear trichomes so watching them everyday to let them keep going... trich pics are from 5 days ago. And the pistils are mostly clear too.

Does anyone else have the same experience with running their plants through frost? Seems like consensus of old school outdoor growers is cold temps / frost at the end (above 28F) helps them fatten up and preserve terps. Anyways lmk your thoughts.

Plant pictures are from yesterday 10/7.

Nice looking plants. I’m in Michigan, frost isn’t great, and sometimes inevitable to finish some strains, but the cooler temps take your bud to the next level. Yes they swell considerably when cold hits. Preparing for the end.
