I’m in Northern MI, and it’s supposed to freeze tonight—down to 32°F. My plants are in pots. What should I do or not do? I did put leaves at the base. Your help and suggestions are kindly appreciated.
 
no I di not. Only think I have is plastic, a 5' tall fence and 6' tall plants. i don't have a tent or canopy.
I'm not sure plastic will help, since you're trying to retain heat and it won't do that. I will tell you mine have survived heavy frost, but it warmed up in the morning. It might look bad at first but if the temps rebound it will recover.
