I was looking at the vivosun kits. It just looks like the hose is so tiny lol it does 8 plants and I usually run at least nine but I can make that work because I’m usually flushing or have at least a few plants just going in. Also definitely want the watering rings. Idfk haha
I have everything....I believe....I have to check the pumps to see what size hose that will be needed.... I had the Vivosun kit....used that with drip irrigation...had issues with the siphoning off after the pump was turned off. I bought different pumps....the anti siphon valves...I know the anti siphon are 1/2inch...17mm...
I want the larger hose....hopefully be able to reduce down for the rings...

Anyone use the vivosun or spider farmer automatic drip irrigation? Or any of these companies auto drip systems? This needs to be my next investment for the basement farm.

I just don’t wanna be dicking around with some bullshit I have to worry about all the time anyway

Orrr I could piece one together and build it myself…..
I have one, ironically going to put it in today or tomorrow or at least very soon.
The auto will not produce to its full potential.
I grow 1 auto among photos. I try to position it closer to the light and in the center so it gets the strongest light possible for the 12/12 light schedule its on.
I would keep em separate, you'll need to separate for flower anyhow right?

That is why I got the self watering trays under my pots.....with the vivosun drip irrigation kit....I had turned off my pump....and the siphon effect drained the bucket.... thank god only a 5 gallon bucket. I was going to use my 35 gallon bucket.
I have to go to my grand daughters birthday party tomorrow....but Monday im gonna start working on it. I will post results on the trainrmwreck...

I've shown you all how set up a simple, no fail vacuum break system. And I use straight 1/4 tubes to the plants... no drippers to clog. I've also shown how to make water rings out of 1/4" tube. 🤷‍♂️👊🐙💨

edit: Ignore the red circle, that's where a $49 anti syphon valve would go...
Just a simple, 1/4" barbed irrigation 90 put in your hose above your max fill level, pointing down, back into the reservoir.

When the pump is on, a small jet will spray back into the reservoir; when the pump shuts off, air will be sucked in thru the 90 thereby breaking the siphon. Note: water will still drain both directions from the apex of the hose, which will have to be taken into account (this is also true with an anti siphon valve).

To demonstrate how this works, put an 1/8" hole in a straw halfway between the top of it and your [insert fav beverage], and see if you can take a drink without putting your finger over the hole.

Imho, this is superior to the A.S. Valve...
a) No springs, diaphragms or moving parts that can fail.
b) It helps oxygenate and circulate the reservoir (when feeder pump is on)
**side note: A second circulation pump just sits in bottom of reservoir running 24/7
c) They (the 90's) only cost .05 or .10 each vs whatever an anti siphon valve costs


I know Crazy has already heard all this and ordered an A.S. valve just prior to me posting it. (sorry bro)

I've typed all this up again for others who may be interested. I'll bookmark it so I'll have it if anyone asks. 👊 🐙

⚗️ Smoked Mercy — Full-Ferment Pepper Sauce (Traditional Style)


🌶️ Batch Size:


8–10 chocolate peppers (≈150–200 g yield)




🧾 Ingredients


Base:


  • 8–10 chocolate peppers (habanero/scorpion)
  • 250 ml filtered or dechlorinated water
  • 8.75 g non-iodized salt (3.5 % brine)

Flavor Companions:


  • 2 roasted garlic cloves
  • ¼ roasted onion
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp blackstrap molasses
  • ½ tsp coarse black pepper
  • ½ tsp finely ground dark-roast coffee
  • 1 small chipotle pepper (optional but glorious)



🏺 Fermentation Setup


Use a 16 oz glass jar with weight and loose lid or airlock. Keep at 68–72 °F (20–22 °C), shaded.




⚙️ Steps


  1. Prep:
    Halve peppers, roast garlic/onion until slightly charred.
  2. Pack:
    Layer all solids into jar; pour molasses over.
  3. Brine:
    Mix salt into water, pour to cover. Weight it down.
  4. Ferment:
    • Days 1–3: bubbling starts.
    • Days 4–7: earthy, tangy aroma.
    • Days 14–28: flavor deepens; test at 3 weeks, finish when sour/complex.



🔥 Finishing (No-Nonsense Method)


  1. Blend the Whole Batch:
    Dump everything — peppers, brine, solids — into a blender. Run it until it’s angry.
  2. Triple Mash:
    • Press the puree through a fine strainer or mesh three times.
    • Each pass, scrape the pulp hard against the mesh with a spoon or spatula until you’ve extracted every drop of liquid fire.
    • Toss the dry pulp only when it looks like compost dust.
  3. Bottle the Essence:
    The final strained liquid is the sauce.
    • Target pH: ≤ 3.5 (usually achieved naturally).
    • No extra vinegar or sugar — purity only.
    • Store refrigerated.



🧠 Result


Dark, smoky, sour-sweet heat with a bitter espresso backbone. It hits like a campfire and fades like an afterthought of apocalypse.



This was the result of me prompting for a chili starter that became an argument that became a sauce, I don't even know how much was me and how much was AI; but fuck I like it. Doin it.
 
Plumber what do you do your reversals with? Or is it top secret info? Haha I just order a small tent to start breeding a few of my favorite strains. Plan is to back them up in s1 first so I’d love to know your method
I've only tried once by purchasing the ingredients and mixing myself and didn't work. I tried to buy from Mary J Apothecary and it never arrived. I ordered from someone else😉

Im gonna automate my water/feed....I will let you know how it does. I have 5 gal fabric pots.....I have them sitting on the self watering trays that has the wicking/string. I bought the watering rings....I will encircle the plant with it. 2 vivosun water pumps....one for recircleation...the other I will set a timer for every 3rd day. Of course I will monitor plants after 2 days to see if it needs a taste. I purchased the anti-syphon valve....so I should be good to go.
Can't recirculate nute water, in my experience. I made my own with a water pump and 55 gal barrels. I'll be doing it again, hopefully next month or two and will diary it😉

Gonna do 7x9' greenhouse(s) this Fall/Winter and diary. Got to get something up very soon for flowering plants😉

Apparently paying extra for a large meal only gets you a large under cooked soggy order of fries 🍟 at McDonald’s now, they’ll only meet you halfway with the poison crap. Now all meals only get a medium sized drink which is 3/4’s ice anyways. 🤣
