Just a thought about stalk splitting. The hollow centers are a feature, not a flaw. I don't think clamping it did anything for the plant I harvested yesterday. It's still a closed system. I'm thinking you have to open that "water pipe" and let air in to trigger a resin response, ie splitting it open. Why would it do that as a response? Probably drought protection. Don't water it the week before you harvest, I'm betting you'll get comparable resin boost without splitting anything.

Since we're trying stress techniques I think I'm trying a theory at lights on. High P-K end fertilizer in the water (the old Bud Charge) and clip a small amount of low branches. The risk of re-veg is negated by temp stress for an hour during lights on and off, about 65 when things run about 73-73 normally by taking her out into the laundry room. This should make Florigen and Auxins go up and not increase any hormones that control stretch and growth so... right? More resin production?
They're nothing buds in terms of the tops like 5% so no matter what it's not a loss on their end, and it's probably higher CBD and THC-A than THC, so I could save it for making something.

Sorry for the late reply! Yeah I use hydro halo rings with the nearpow timers. The timers have to be able to be programmed down to the second. I repurposed a bpa free plastic water jug we used to use while camping for the rez and it works great.

I used to use drip emitters with the spaghetti lines back in the day but when I switched from blocks to coco I switched and never went back.

It made absolutely no sense to me. I tried it twice. By day 3 it was obviously not working. I would LOVE to be able to recirculate that nute water. I do put pans under some plants and use that waste water elsewhere but for the most part I am drain to waste without choice. I even thought about running the waste through a large aquarium filter when I first tried this like 5-6 years ago. I haven't tried since. What I'm doing seems to be working so no need to fix it

Question....why are you hell bent at recirculating the nute water???? Is it the cost of your nutes? Is it lack of the availability of water?

I've never grown in coco, nor in red solos; so this is all experimental
The plan (very loosely) is... is... is muddy at best.
Going to take clones today; some in rockwool under 24hr light and
some in my new cloner bucket under 12/12
As soon as I'm sure of sex I'll make decisions on my next moves.
In the end I want 3 mother plants & 2 clones each strain to go into the 4x8
Oh; and one for the red solo contest

None of the above, the fert water would last a lot longer. I'm paying about $0.02 a gallon of nute water (Master Blend). Water does cost more than most places but that's not a problem. I guess it's the actual waste of a resource. Just the way I'm wired

Fall Chaos sauce worked great! 7 day ferment done, now strained and pressed and mashed to hell, back into the jar at about silty Red Hot thickness, a tiny bit thicker than Tabasco. I'll let it sit in the fridge with some burping for a few weeks maybe, I poured off a bottle for my own slurping.
It's tasting like a huge pork flavor kick. Apple, zucchini, pumpkin, all with seeds and fall spices like cinnamon and sage and nutmeg and this brown pepper seed that tastes like woodsmoke at the communist hippie grocery store. Habanero, super hungarians (just a really spicy hungarian pepper) and jalapenjo.
Might be a little bit of a dumbass in the grow tent lol but I'm feeling like the hot sauce Michael Jordan atm haha.
