I ended up giving it all away separately when I moved 5 years ago. And to be honest it physically was a LOT of shit and I got trades and made people happy for sure. But I LOVE old component audio and 70s-80s media hardware. All I have left is a reel player and boxes of unpublished live reels from local concerts. It's all in the vein of Foghat, CCR, that kind of thing.

Question....why are you hell bent at recirculating the nute water???? Is it the cost of your nutes? Is it lack of the availability of water?
Answering for myself and my part of that convo: It's bc it works.... Really really well. The whole reason I'm here is to pass my method on before I check out. Peeps are free to use it or not as they please.

This method uses continuous feed while the lights are on. Pumping 550gph of nute water down the drain would not be feasible at all. As it it, the plants in the 4x8 drink up to 15 gal of full strength solution per day; this force feeds them and makes em explode.

The same principles could be applied in a greenhouse or outside and would grow absolute monsters out of relatively small containers.

I'll let my results speak for themselves... 👊🐙✌️

Just a thought about stalk splitting. The hollow centers are a feature, not a flaw. I don't think clamping it did anything for the plant I harvested yesterday. It's still a closed system. I'm thinking you have to open that "water pipe" and let air in to trigger a resin response, ie splitting it open. Why would it do that as a response? Probably drought protection. Don't water it the week before you harvest, I'm betting you'll get comparable resin boost without splitting anything.
Exactly what I do haha

This is a high insect time in my area, north of me horse flies the size of beagles. I suspect this is pretty widespread in the US.

I didn't even know AI existed until I joined thcfarmer one year ago and was accused of using it to do my writing for me. I looked into it and said fk it, this is pretty cool; mebbe I will use it to help me out from time to time.... 👊🐙

People get so mad at it but I still pay for art. I still write creatively. I make it write a million stupid songs for guitar practice I never remember, but I get techniques from it. So it hasn't like made me that lazy or anything.
I think I began with 3PO then TalkToTransformer and some similar then the more modern assistant iterations and finally just GPT/Sora. I'll use a native one to my machine some day when I feel I need it.

Today’s dilemma so I got my bubble cloner going and I love it but my roots are getting ripped out every time I try to take them out of the styrofoam. Going to order rockwool cubes unless someone else has a better method I know they have those root riot cubes

I’ve seen most people who use the bubble type cloners have them flat disk shape clone holders in em? Ya can’t just plant em styrofoam and all?

No I think that is the BEST method to rip roots out. Rock will prolly not do that.
Follow me for more tips.

are Sponge plugs in bubble cloners expendables (meant for clone to stay in and be planted)?:

Yes, sponge plugs (or foam collars) used in bubble cloners are technically expendable, but whether you reuse them depends on the material type and your cleanliness standards.

Here’s the full breakdown 👇

🧽 1. Two Main Types

TypeDescriptionReuse?
Neoprene collarsDense, rubbery foam discs with a slit for the stem✅ Reusable many times (clean with bleach or peroxide)
Sponge-style rooting plugsPorous, plantable foam (like Rapid Rooter, EZ Clone, or cloning sponge)⚠️ Usually single-use — can replant with clone

2. If Yours Are Sponge / Plantable Type

  • They’re designed to stay around the clone.
  • Once the roots grow through (like in your photo), that plug becomes part of the root ball.
  • Just transplant plug and all directly into your next medium (rockwool, coco, soil, or hydroton).
Don’t try to peel it off — you’ll damage those feeder roots.
So yes — in that case, they’re “expendable” (meant to be planted with the clone).

Best suited for leaving all your roots behind and starting fresh 🤣🤣
I was thinking since they had a nice root system goin....leave em and plant them. Buy more rolls of that styrofoam mesh

I don't think this guy is gonna make it, Maui 86 😕
But one of these is a Closet auto of some kind, likely blueberry. The other is a Maui coming in strong.
