Digging the grow box! Didn't look close to see how much vertical space you gave yourself to work with, but LST tricks will allow you to get more of the plant matter growing within the optimal light space, which means more fore you to smoke.

Saw the debate about water and I'll just say this who scoff at water on your plant in the sun or under lights. Do you ever wonder why it is recommended that you do your watering or spray for bugs early in the morning or late in the evening? Okay maybe that isn't quite resonating for some of you, let's try this one. Ever see what happens when you hold a magnifying glass to an ant in the sun? Yeah.., that's exactly what happens to your plant. Each droplet of water has the potential to become its own magnifying glass.

Bit off topic but does any else wear these?

All my lights in the home are LEDs so I walk about at night time in these blue blockers. The blue spectrum supposedly prevents melatonin build up, so if you block the blue you get more melatonin which helps you sleep.
I dunno if plants need melatonin too?

I don't know what to tell you scientists then, because when I mist plants they look absolutely hideous from the hard water stains from our tap and when there's water on my plant in the 105 degree Southern California sun, there is a brown burn spot the exact size of the water droplet after it's gone, so I don't mist my plants or get water on the leaves in the sun.

Because of what I'm able to actually observe even if I don't understand what damage is being done, I'm gonna go ahead and cling to this bro science myth like a life raft.

But if it could drops of water would have long since started planet wide fires after rain.

Alright, I took a minute to go hit some Durban and it's had a chance to kick in, so maybe I can communicate more clearly now.

I didn't mean to come across that water is like acid rain on your plant. If your plant gets wet, it's fine. It's probably chlorine burn from the municipal water that I experience, and it's not like all of the water that hits the plant does that damage. I can go back later and see a burnt circle with a white ring around where the calcified water dried around it. This isn't septoria, that's a whole different problem and another reason you really don't want to be putting water on your plants. If there's big droplets of water up high in the canopy that the sun cooks, some of them will leave negative evidence of its presence there the next day. Like the religious folks say faith hope and love the greatest of these is love. With reasons to not deliberately put water in your plant without a purpose (spraying for bugs or hosing them off for instance and that's because the water damage is the lesser of two evils.) But getting my stoned mind back to you on those three, it's hard water burn, aphid / gnat attraction or mold, and the greatest of these is mold. Okay my sermon is over.

To the original poster, Sorry for hijacking your thread. The DIY box is dope! The takeaway I'd like to offer: Water is ESSENTIAL to your plants. Use it wisely!

I’ll go out to the shed to check stuff and poke around for minute or two without them (polarized sunglasses) But if doing anything longer than a couple of minutes I wear them for the duration of whatever im doing out there : )
