Hey fellas, in the DIY game, here's my 2x2 box. Notice my RH is at 65%????
See the bucket with blue cut sponge material? And water?
That's all I have ever used to keep RH good. The light and fan help tons.
To move the RH but it never fails me n saves Alot of money

Do you run the humidity at 65% humidity for the whole grow? I have it that high for sprouts but drop it down as the plants mature.

I like how you use rocks under your pot. I've been using risers but might try rocks because I'm thinking the aeration might be better.

Hey Yo! Naw, 65-72% RH during Seedling. Into Pre veg. Veg i drop it around 55%
And around 40-45 for flower. I run autos, so it is easier for me to do this and keep cost down. I use rocks with water half way up that 2" tray, so 1" of water, with the water box n sponges.
Right now, I'll do 3 Autos in a ScrOG grow 2 Royal Runtz Auto and one Blue Cheese Auto.
This is a 80 dollar grow including seeds from RQS.
I'll get 9 ounces from this DIY 2x2 foot grow box. From 3 trees using SCROG.
I'm a die hard Fox Farm OF and HF medium grower.
I do not use FF grow big.
With my Auto Flowers, I use ( in veg) 1/4 dose of 5-1-1 Fish Fertilizer from Alaska, then switch to Fox Farm Big Bloom and Tiger Bloom w/ Cal Mag.
I have a 72 hr darkness before my chop too. Just like a Photo period.
It will make that bud fucking glitter .
I'll post pics . I'm germinating now.

Sounds good! I sorta let the plants control the humidity when they're big enough to do it. I have humidifiers for when they're young.

Why what happens to seedlings and plants outdoors when it's low humidity
Failing to see a need to adjust humidity ever, does one grow faster....

Seems to me the plant can adjust and grow the same in most 🤫

Yes and no. Controlling the humidity, especially in flower stage, reduce the chances of mold, bud rot, pests, etc. resin production kinda halts in buds too moist.
Outside they have major factors that help with changing a climate.
Indoor, you ARE the help they get.
Get it?
We're trying to grow fire not just Ruderalis ditch weed

In paper towel, I have 2 Royal Runtz Auto
The Blue Cheese Auto is in the half gal. Pot
I'm gonna keep her a lil bonsai size with just ONE main cola for my personal 5 month cure I do with about 14-28 grams.

The leaf stomata just make a slight adjustment for high and low humidity indoors, learned from millions of years out doors.

Humidity adds so little to the photosynthesis equation.

But each to their own I grow seedlings at low and high humidity and have yet to notice a difference unfortunately.

I think I've just followed behind the guys that took the time to help me learn. I had a guy from Facebook, a private grow group, teach me. I haven't tried without humidity, so I definitely won't put up an argument because I could look foolish unaware!!! šŸ˜‚
I started with clones because I kept killing seedlings..
I'm just a home grower Ina makeshift Grow Box that cost me zero.
I'm building a 3x3x5 now to get a bigger grow, I have 3 100w fulls with red/blue
So it's enough to pump some sunshine in that mfer.
I'm taking my time with it, to make sure I have it down. I don't want a tent. I care less about smell.
Any suggestions???
So no humidifier is necessary?
I just never heard that before

Big fan of cheap micro grows, where I started some fish tank fluorescents and a pc fan on a voltage adaptor.

You'll find growers who grow in a variety of humidity and witness no difference between them and very little documented showing an actual gain say from fifty to sixty as an example or even thirty to sixty.

Getting the light level right is far more rewarding in this equation, humidity very well could give you ten percent extra but ten percent of the wrong light level is probably nothing.

Helps to keep things even simpler.

How bout this...I rebuild my grow box. Gonna paint the walls matte white today too.
Fire. Walls got lower power LED while the top gives 1000ppfd

You really don't need a lot of light for a seedling šŸ‘
Yeah, max 300. The side lights are only for Bloom.
Seedling, max 300
Veg 300-600
Bloom 600-1000

Usually.

I've had to tweak it strain specific sometimes.

Thanks for the tip.
There not any seed in them pots rn..
Seeds are germinating on paper towels ATM!!
