Put 1 inch perlite in the bottom of the 5 gallon pots, then potting soil on top. Will transplant soon.

@Galgrows, got a pic of the rug I put on the berber carpet to protect from my spills. It's not water proof, but it'll help.
It's really thin and says 'can be put in a washer', well, not mine. LOL
Ended up a little too big, but, oh well.

I would put down a sheet of plastic under the carpet, this will help with water stains.

Got all my toys working, I think, and couldn't wait any longer, so transplanted my babies into the 5 gallon fabric pots.
They're done sitting on the windowsill, and now get to experience modern full spectrum artificial lighting. Hope they like it. They are currently sitting on AC Infinity's bottom watering contraption, but I haven't put any water in it 'cause they're too small yet. So I poured a bit of RO water around them after transplant. I will continue to do that for at least a week.

I have no idea what the bells and whistles are doing, but I put the AI controller on seedling, turned the light down to 3 (seemed excessive on 5) and left all the fans on. I'm going to leave the lights on 24/0 for now, unless I see damage and will adjust accordingly. (Or an experienced grower strongly recommends otherwise.)

And because I cannot leave well enough alone, I have taken @PlumberSoCal2 's off hand suggestion and put a motorized turntable underneath one of the pots. We'll see what happens. LOL

That's actually one of the coolest things I've seen. Is that from AC infinity?
