Help need help fixing deficiency. Putting pride aside. Didn’t want to show but need answers

I know the curling or “claw” can be a few issues. I haven’t been overwatering it. I haven’t hit it with any nutrients yet either.

What's the media? How often and how much have you been watering? Have you added anything to the water? What light are you running? How far from the plant? At what dimmer setting?

Digging your plant, that's one of them solid duck foot looking indicas. Probably going to be skunky.🦨

Just a wild theory maybe the buffers are just a little heavy in that soil out the gate, something possibly blocking calcium and doing something with the phosphorous... and if it's that, nothing to worry about. It'll self correct over time as the buffer is used up.

I definitely look forward to seeing pics of that plant when it's bigger and covered with buds!

Thanks bro I usually don’t panic because my runs have been smooth but usually they bounce back, good thing marijuana is pretty damn strong but just want to make sure my babies are good

And yes this is a Ayahuasca Purple strain

Thanks I’ll def have updates ! She’ll stand the test of time
I’ll get her right

I’ve been watering once the soil gets dry. And no I haven’t added anything yet since it’s still young . This one is under a 200w led
Spider farmer. The light is about 80% now that I think about it. I had this as a flowering tent prior to this veg setup so the light height could be the issue

I’ve read that it could be nitrogen toxicity but the leaves aren’t really that green. I’ll keep a close eye.

Thanks for the replies 🙏🏽

It’s a mix of some organic soil I got that I usually don’t get, I mixed two soils because I was running low. That could be it

In that case you could have the two blends fighting against each other depending on where the ratios fell. Between that and hot buffers, a good thorough watering or two should tame the whole thing down. Probably also wouldn't hurt to take a peek at the runoff from that random blend and head any potential issues off at the pass.

How far is the lamp? Or better how many ppfd or lux are you getting

I just started 3 seeds i got from my buddy of this purple punch. Im hoping to get a good indoor female. He grew 2 outdoor off s dank strains and I got a few seeds.

How often, in days, are you watering, and how much water do you give when you do that? I'm asking because your plant is showing symptoms of over-watering: speedbumps and clearly visible venules. Note that over-watering is watering too often, as opposed to giving too much water at once. You have a small plant in a big pot full of an amended mix...it's easy to water too often. Sorry to belabor the point. If you're watering every 10 days or something, I'll let it go... 😄

Every 10 days is crazy I’ve never done that or had a plant go that long with out water the longest I have gone is maybe 4-5 days depending on the plant but yes I do plant my girls in 5gallons from seedling. I never fully water the soil entirely until they are larger and require more water. I’m going the same things I’ve done in previous growths with the same pot and watering but I know that each plant is different. But unless it dies I’m going to stick with it and do my best

Thanks for the input 👌🏽🙏🏽

Or the VPD could be off, "asthma," (transpiration issues, lol) nitrogen excess can all give a plant that look but when I see it I blurt out the same thing as you... baby, you need some air! 🤣

I do all my stuff indoors and when I first started doing this I thought I could just set a fixed watering schedule, and that ended badly. 😂

Water demand is all over the map and changes with both the weather and where your plant is in its life cycle and I'm sure a few other factors. Mid August with the weather in the 90's and the girls were stretching I had to replenish every other day and here we are in November with colder roots and I got girls stretching and a week later I'm like come in hurry up and dry so I can feed you!

The issue with not fully watering a soil medium is you're going to get an uneven distribution of nutes, buffers and microbes and something I would call the grand canyon effect... The fully dry dirt is hydrophobic and initially repels water. So after a few incomplete waterings the soil develops channels and the water passes through them straight to the bottom of your pot without hydrating the dry areas. You see the runoff and think it's watered, and it's not. If you're not fully moistening the whole medium, you can use the old tried and true method of watering your plant along the drip line and as the plant grows you're watering a larger circumference giving it access to fresh nutes and a more even distribution but you gotta water super slowly and in small increments to prevent that channeling.
