Hi there just wanted some opinions on topping and training.

Just successfully germinated a few new autos, I was really just going to leave them well alone and not try any LST or topping. New to growing and my first couple of attempts have been ok to smoke potency wise and everything just very leafy and wasn't great yeilds.

Was just gonna let them grow all natural and use a net to tuck and fold.

Again I checked my ego at the door complete rookie so all help and advice is appreciated.

🤔 this isn’t advice. I’m a rookie too. So it’s just chit chat.
I don’t think autos like to be topped in an ideal world, but if it’s a small tent with limited space, maybe top them?
😅autos are mad! Some of em stay really nice n short, and flower in 8-10 weeks. Some of em just grow like mad and take absolutely ages to flower.
Hopefully yours will be the former, looking at your little tent.
I like those colours. Thinking about getting a new little tent myself.

As soon as they break surface get rid of domes 👍

Thx for advice those domes work a treat for germination will let em get some fresh air now Ty

Yeah it's awkward I have 2 small tents 60x60x120 cm

Cheese XL just waiting for next tent to be free then I'll do 2 in each

The training and wether to top can be very strain specific. The seeds I bought did not have any information on stretch and overall hight so the first 4 plants were more to train me than the plant. It took me 2 plants to get the nutrition add down and then I decided to top one and not top the other.
The results were really cool. The plants were withing 20 grams of each other but the untopped plant went 20 days longer than the untopped plant and finished much better with this being the most potent of the 4 plants. The untopped also built a ballistic missile on top that required side lighting to land.
With a good launch and a plant that gets to node 7 before flower topping can help keep the plants manageable.
I use the pretty standard pull the stems out straight from the main stem until flower and then turn the stems up to build the colas.

Usually the difference the top bud and rest is like 60k lux and 30k lux if you just suppercropped the top you could have had all of them like the big one

I'm a fan of training low and wide indoors, because I love all my buds the same. Doesn't have to mean topping, but that's one good way to get there, if you're running photos.

I tried it without topping but the main top is allways faster and fatter then the rest it works but you will never get uniform

With autos and topping you really need to read the individual plants. Autos tend to grow very fast, and if they're doing well, no stunting, they can handle topping once, and you can LST them most always.
