Blazing heat, smoke-filled skies, illegal! What could possibly go wrong?

Yeah, it’s November 3. They were at the finish line and I just couldn’t see not taking some of it! They have quit growing! This is uncharted territory for me! These aren’t predictable plants! Lol! So I snagged some of the larger colas. Always partial harvest so we will see what the remainder does! Haven’t touched the dreadnought or the three Sinaloa! But I think the Sinaloa’s are about done also! We will see how they handle the wind tomorrow night! There wasn’t anything to be gained by leaving those big colas out for three or four days of wet!

Yeah, the rain has a little to do with it! There is plenty left out there! But it is all pretty milky! Even the sativa’s! And I was talking about your caterpillars! A couple of the plants looked like they were starting to give up the ghost so I snagged some of it! Two of the Mazar’s!

The Sinaloa is a lot airier than the others! But milky also! Just depends on how far I wanna push them! I’ll go out and take a look and a few pictures when the last of this rain passes! Got a little breezy overnight so they might have done a certain amount of self harvesting! Lol! They all need a watering! The rain is not enough! Need to put up some more lines in the barn to accommodate this stuff if it is ready to go! Not great conditions for hanging a bunch of weed out in a barn, but it is what it is! It dries better in the bedroom, but don’t have the capacity in there! Fingers crossed!

The forecast was a bust down my way, apparently the weatherman threw the darts at the wrong target. We got some rain, maybe a half inch, but the wind never happened.

I'm in Napa, it was a normal early winter storm, but nowhere near the 40-50 mph winds forecast. I didn't go hunting this AM because I was concerned about running a 14 ft aluminum boat across a couple miles of open water in the wind and dark, cept, no wind to speak of. Of course in the early season, there's darn few ducks! Another couple weeks and the northern birds will start showing up.

I never complained about Canadian wildfire smoke, I'm in California, I couldn't tell the difference between Canadian and California smoke if I tried (unless it was cannabis), this state burns every year! BTW, if we didn't provide wintering habitat, there'd be no ducks/geese, they'd be little frozen Canadian hockey pucks! (LOL)

I occassionally roast them, but lately I save up all the meat and then make "duck sticks", l grind it up with pork fat and/or bacon and spices/preservatives, then stuff them into Slim Jim type casings and cook/smoke them. They keep for several weeks, a year in the freezer!
