Florida Mike's 25/26 Indoor Rockwool Grow 9-1-25

I don't know how anyone can get a plant to finish in a solo cup. My root ball in my hydroponic grow is about the size of a loaf of bread..

I've done it with some auto seeds but i've seen really good growers do it with photoperiods an autos. And the best were using hydro, but some did it in soil mixes. Sure my yield was very small but i was curious to try.

Yeah I hear ya. Here's one that pretty much filled up a 5 gallon bucket. I've never grown in solos or coco πŸ’ͺπŸ‘

Sorry @PlumberSoCal2 I had to do it. Within an hr after shutting feeders off (to let them dry out before transplanting), they were already wilting...

Ladies are officially starting their 1st ever dark cycle. Straight from 24/7 to 12/12 - and so it begins...

Clones are up-cubed. The 4x4x4 blocks are 64 cubic inches, vs 32 cu inch in a solo cup. I should be able to keep some decent sized mothers in these and let the roots just air prune. They will each get a 1/4 feeder and be on a 400ppm starvation diet until needed πŸ˜„πŸ˜‰βœŒοΈ

Busted them over just before lights out yesterday and they turned back up by lights on today.

Clones (mothers) have been topped and irrigation installed. πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Š

Every time I think they've hit their stride, they catch another gear... πŸ’¨πŸ’¨πŸ’¨

Lights - 2 Medic Grow Fold-8's, 760w @ 30%, 12/12
Feed - Greanleaf Megacrop 1part @ 1300ppm, 5.8pH,
continuous, recirculating during lights on in main,
(17 gallon reservoir) clones are 500ppm
@ 5.9pH, 2 minutes on, 15 minutes off.
Media - pure coco in 1 gallon pots

This super crop knot is bigger than my thumb & has the biggest top in the tent

Maybe the healthiest clones I've ever taken; they never stopped growing. Back row are 4-Cali Blues

β€œHydro growing is a lot like cooking.” -F.M.-
When you first start out, you follow the recipe word for word β€” checking every measurement, logging every number, afraid that a small mistake might ruin the dish. For me, that recipe is a 17-gallon reservoir tuned to 1000–1200 ppm at a pH between 5.8 and 6.2. Each day, I top it back up, testing and tweaking until the readings are right where I want them. It’s careful, precise, and by the book.

But over time, the process changes. You begin to feel the mix instead of calculating it. You learn the weight of a teaspoon in your hand, how much each nutrient raises the ppm, how pH shifts with a few extra drops of acid. It stops being math and starts being muscle memory.

Eventually, you realize the system isn’t fragile β€” it’s alive and flexible. You can improvise, adjust on instinct, and still end up with a healthy, balanced brew. The reservoir becomes your kitchen, the plants your tasters, and the process your craft.

Hydroponic growing, like cooking, is about learning the flavor of balance β€” not chasing perfection on paper, but reading the recipe through experience. Once you’ve mastered that, the measuring spoons are optional. πŸ‘ŠπŸ‘Š

8 days out of the solo cups. Broke some necks. Cali Blues have 1st pistils @ day 7. Clones are fixn to take off with new growth. πŸ’ͺπŸ‘
