How many watts is that lamp? Usually anything you buy you pay off with first harvest. Maybe those autos are low yielders
On that first grow I had those vivosun vs1000 that are now in the closet. They are 100w and I only had 1 light for 2 plants. Its not even the lights or the autos. I didnt fully understand autos yet and stunted the shit out of them.

Thats what I was trying to say. Is that even tho I didnt have a good harvest it still paid for a good portion of the investment. Basically saying its worth investing in the gear.

That was everything. 2x4 tent kit , second light, fans, extension cords, soil, nutes, guages, trim bin, snips, etc. I forgot about getting the 2nd light a few weeks in. Might of been pushing $1100

you might have overpaid for some stuff

You were making me curious. Add dehu and humidifier to the list so a really complete list of what someone would need. Went through my amazom orders history. $1028.56

That actually doesnt include soil and nutes. I got those local. $1100 easily covers eveything.

Leafs dont recover soo she will eat them until the end if ahe decides they are not worth it
Not too sure what you mean? The leaves are solar panels for creating energy for the plant. That leaf is nowhere near dead......so its still doing its job. You may be referring to the very last stage of the plants life when the plant is using up all its resources in its own leaves.
Being as its already been heavily defoliated, its my opinion that its better to leave it alone for a few days, so not to stress the plant by removing more of its leaves.

Thats why i said if she decides.

Either way they got cut. 🤣 Not shitting on your advice green or fully accepting haze. I thought the leaf was alive and would return to normal. My reasoning to cut them is that I hadnt finished the defoliation when the break happened and I didnt want the plant spending resources on those 2 injured leaves. I just went with my gut feeling.

The strawberry cheesecake all trimmed up at day 31. Thats the last "big" defoliation she will get. I'll continue removing a leaf or two here and there to keep her cleaned up. I also top dressed her today with 70/30 Gaia power bloom to all pupose. Watered it in with 3/4 gal of Recharge. That will also be the last Recharge depending on development. She might get a few cups in a week.

Im a few hours late but we'll call this the middle of day 10 sour update. Top is spreading out into the next set of leaves but those lateral shoots underneath have grow a good bit too. Maybe 1/2" of height 3/4 if I was being generous.

Ok I've had this in my back pocket and wasnt going to share it until after I saw my own results. This is the guy I linked on my other thread with the fucking massive autos. There is a ton of info here. I havent made it all the way through yet. This is the main reason Im not as scared about training stress. He is hydro but its possible to still get good results in soil if done right. Not sure how people feel about linking other forums but this link has value imo.

His unique scrog method is the plan for the sour diesel. Or at least a modified version of it.

Update on the second cheesecake. Ive done almost nothing to her due to her health. 1 session of lst and one good defoliation. I have no idea what shes going to do but Im letting her do it. She keeps stretching putting the tops in the 700+ ppfd range with little amount of stress indicators. Not paying super close attention but Ive moved the light up 4-6" over the last couple days. Day 29-30. Again haven't been paying attention to this one as much so not 100% on day. Might be closer to day 28.

Im new to being active in a forum of any topic not just cannabis. Sometimes its hard to tell if youre being helpful, arguing, looking foolish, or saying the same thing in a different way. The point here is too clarify what guides my opinions and advice. I dont have a bunch of grows to back me up yet. I feel like Im getting good results for autos in soil. I can promise I'll only get better. All my theories and advice is based on trying to achieve the best.

Car culture is on the top of my likes so I'll use a car analogy to explain my auto flower theory.

Im trying to build a world record drag car. Straight line from start to finish all gas no brake!

This line represents a 11 second base corvette. The space between the below lines represents what it takes to achive the times. But they are all faster than most daily drivers.

This is a 10 second corvette.

This is a low 9s corvette.

This is a world record 8.644 second completely transformed custom corvette.

The way you think about going 8.6 fast has to be completely different from 9.5 fast. They are both fast as fuck!!!
