The way you think about going 8.6 fast has to be completely different from 9.5 fast. They are both fast as fuck!!!
This is the diifference between watering when the plant needs it and watering right before they need it.
Its why I have bloom nutrients in my starter mix and why I top dress more bloom at the start of flower. I dont want my plant to have to ask for something then wait to get it.
Its why my plants are getting 600ppfd 18 hrs for 40 DLI instead of 100watts at 18 inches.
Its why my pot stays saturated from top to bottom for the first 3-4 weeks.
Its why I monitor and control water and soil ph.

None of the above is necessary to grow autos!

Beginning of day 11 for the sour diesel but also right before lights out so she looks a little sleepy.

This one got a trim today. Shes already thin so I only took a handfuls worth from the canopy for light pen. Keeps stretching too. I raised the light another 4-5 clicks on the pulleys and moved her closer to the other light to catch a some from both. Day 30.

Approaching lights out and the end of day 11. Decent gains today. Good leaf development and maybe another 1/2" of vertical growth.

That pic with the tape measure is amazing. All the little growth coming to life and the vibrant color. Ive been stuck looking at it for a solid 10-15 minutes while sitting at my desk taking a few hits off the bowl.

End of day 12. Last night before lights out I changed the DLI to 48. Came home on my lunch and saw no sign of stress so I left it turned up. It shouldve let her make more energy today and in return grow more during lights out tonight.

Ive been trying to control DIF but its pointless with the current setup. Maybe I can get the 5x5 to be fine tuned and stable.

Day 13. Over night I didn't get the development in the next set of leaves that I was hoping for. They did open up some but it was mainly the nodes and vertical growth I noticed change in.

Thanks to everyone for the likes and hearts. Means a lot. I'm quickly becoming addicted to growing but the interactions and reactions are making it even more fun

If you are really at 48 DLI at that size that is one tough plant.
I am at

this stage and at 36 DLI.
I measure in lux but I am comfortable converting the readings.
I do have a tip for you for lighting.
As you can see my auto has a hight difference of about 7 inches from the top highest to the lowest bud. My numbers are 26k lux for the very tops and the side facing the middle of the tent is at 24.5 k lux.
That is because panel type lights have a center section that is very strong and tapered off as you go farther out.
I call this a virtual level canopy. It gives you the same results as a sweet level canopy using bar lights with a much more level light pattern. Just tran and place plants to take advantage of the reality of my light. If I trained my plants level the ones under higher light would be too high and the lowers would be too low.

Thanks for the tips. The sour has been getting 40 dli since day 2. I changed it to 3800 fc it varies a little due to the light pattern you talk about but still pretty even across the plant. The 3800 fc converts to roughly 750 ppfd x 18 hrs is a little over 48 dli. The newest pic from this morning those new leaves look a little stressed so I might have to lower it a touch. I'll be keeping a close eye on her.

Hey guys......I have no idea DLI even means!? 3800 FC.....well you got Me there too 🤣
Plants look happy and healthy ✌🏼

🤣 DLI is daily light intake. It's how much light your plant gets in a day. Ppfd x lights on = DLI

3800 fc is foot candle. Measurement of light intensity. I convert it to the commonly known ppfd.

Thanks for compliments.

I said they werent going to get trimmed but they asked me for it. GMO really cant take another round and the cheesecake will more than likely get one more go.

GMO before and after with the amount of leaves removed.
