I may be crazy, but I want to try both and compare, just for arguments sake. The government is still giving me money (social security) and it is my civic duty to help keep the economy moving. 😉
Unfortunately I have to leave town for a few days, so this will have to wait 'til next week. I'll water the girls, make sure the humidifier is full, and hope everything stays good.
I cranked the light up to 5 because the leaves seem thin and I read somewhere they may need more light. Got my PAR meter out and it's now at 300, and after 24hrs. they seem to like it.

I have a question about the lights.
What is a better practice, leaving the plants on the floor and turning the LED light up in power as they need it. Or, raising the pots, and reducing the power?

Closer lights take less energy saving $
Plants on the floor are the suck for me. Back problems. It is why I made a moveable floor for both tents. Even 7 inches up helps but right now it is 13 inches up.

😂 😂

They aren't giving you shit! They are paying back a pittance of what you paid them. And then we still are paying for Insurance!

The previous sentence does not reflect the opinion of the original poster, just the responder, and in no way reflects either a conservative or liberal agenda! Just the truth.

I dont believe it matters as long as the intensity is the same at the canopy.

Yes, but does it make any difference to the plant?

You make the lamp lower.and only when the corners are too dark then you give more power. Soo middle is 60k but corner is 20k you raise power now middle is still 60k but corner is 40k.
As for raising planta from the floor only if floor is ice cold and it bothers you

That makes sense. Thanks!

I have never turned the power up and had the center remain at the previous power setting but the outer area energy reading goes up.
What specific light has this ability. Would love to research this.
Would like to see numbers and test results.
Electricity and light energy production in that form would take voltage drivers for each LED and separate wiring.
Not saying it could not be done but not for 300 bucks for a 400 watt panel.

No the middle goes up as well but with more power you get more light on the outside.soo you lift the lamp as high to get the same power in the middle.but this time the corners have more.i fought it was logical

Or just use a piece of shade cloth for the center diodes so if you drop or raise the height you can equalize it to closely match the outer.

But you can use shade cloth to compensate. A cheap easy fix.

If you haven't watched Justin he may have done it already.

Hey @cpurola I wanted to drop these in here for an example of what some real basic lst can do and kinda the visual concept of what I try to do. Dont judge the training on the status of this plant. The structure is there she just hasnt had a healthy life.

So I make the first bend like youve done and soon after start aiming those bottom laterals opposite of the bend to fill in that side of the pot. Then the next set up I aim back a little less and out towards the edge. Once the top gets more growth it gets some more bend and in this case I tied it down to the pot so it grows out and up. This gives you a good base for a bushy plant with multiple mains.

Yes, that is what I'm hoping to do. I've been following @JIMKSI64 's grow and he does something similar.
I noticed some people don't bend their plants at all. How does the light get to the lowers?

Sometimes you just get a plant that behaves it self. It does a tree impersonation that requires little more than topping or fimm and leaf tucking.
Out of 11 plants I got 2 like that. The rest needed a pull and top to space out the flower sites.
Both of the well presenting plants are both fading some due to the added nutritional use for those plants.

Is that because they're closer to the light? And are you feeding them more? More light, then need more food?

They are using more food and drinking more water. The light can not be balanced for the best plant in the tent it needs to be a compromise between max light and not burning up the slower plants.
I have in other grows boosted plants that stretched to slow down that crap and honestly I should have done that on 2 of these plants early but I knew this strain has too many presentations and I can counter the stretch with LST and in some cases HST.
Also glad to see your plants shook off its early problems and is doing better. Hope you get a delayed flower so you get some growth.

We have both seen 7 inch tall autos at node 4 in flower up on the Farm
