Grow diary mission impossible (low to medium budget lol)

What did I miss? I thought he got booted for political post after logics called him out on it, water under the bridge Id say. Cooler heads prevailed and live to post another day.

The problem with rephrasing such a thing is that there was a discussion held privately, and public confusion is less important than a resolution.
Some things arise from the entirely ignored, but still true, fact that this is a cannabis website and all the social interactions, conversations, jokes, and pictures are technically off-topic spam.
As is talking about it on a member's grow diary. Because this is only for growing.

Washed out with warm water. Now it’s got water and vinegar circulating. I’ll dump that out after a while and get some water and h2o2 going in there before I get cuttings in it.

Going to add another fan to the flower room as it’s not heating up from my lung room 😤 or my ac keeps kicking into another mode. Still playing around with things. Lights will be on at 6 in the flower room so I’ll be back out there messing.

Forgot this shot for JJ 🤣 im not full shit i promise… only sometimes! LOL! 😂

i need to get it all set up and run a heavy bleach water through it. how bad is that bleach on the pump? View attachment 2561294
If you accidentally go a bit too strong on your bleach solution that stuff is terrible.

I do some home brewing, and have this stuff called starsan. It's a "no rinse" disinfectant for brewing equipment. Works well for the cloner too. Doesn't stink or mess up your clothes either 🤣.

I have that same yellow black container for my messed up soil mix. Walmart?

Getting ready to scrap the lung room and just have two rooms again. Can’t heat the mother f*#er up🤷‍♂️ if I pick up another 1000w led I’d be able to flower out enough at a time to not have to do a perpetual thing. Or I just need a way smaller veg room and to make the flower room bigger? I’m going to go back and read through jj’s info and try to make sense of it. Going to go smoke some herb🔥 💨 😎 sorry I don’t have a positive post here lol! I’m only human and am getting frustrated : ) ✌️

@BearWater ........After looking at all those screenshots I realized I have no idea what any of it actually means. However my keen Irish eyes noticed "heat 80°" and "air conditioner" on the same page. Now I do have a highschool diploma, but thats it.......so to Me the problem is your trying to heat something with an A/C 😵‍💫🤣

😆 how can I heat a room with an AC unit?😆

ChatGPT said:

Good question — and it depends on what kind of AC unit you’ve got. There are a few ways to make it heat a room, but not every type can do it safely or efficiently. Let’s run through the main cases:

🌀 1. If it’s a heat pump (a reversible AC)

You’re golden. Most modern split systems and minisplits are reversible — meaning they can both cool and heat.
  • Look for a “Mode” button on the remote or control panel. Cycle through until it says HEAT, ☀️, or sometimes H1.
  • Set your desired temperature higher than the room temp.
  • Give it a few minutes; in heating mode it’ll reverse the refrigerant flow and start blowing warm air.
👉 Efficiency is excellent — usually 2–3× better than an electric space heater.

🧊 2. If it’s a window or portable AC (cooling only)

Then it can’t actually produce heat, because it only moves heat out of the room. But there are a couple of sneaky workarounds:

Option A — Reverse the airflow manually

If you’re mechanically inclined and not afraid to tinker:
  • Unmount or redirect the exhaust so the hot condenser side faces into the room instead of out.
  • Block the cold side (evaporator) from venting cold air into the same space.
⚠️ This is a very inefficient and temporary solution — basically turning the AC into a crude space heater. You’ll burn lots of electricity and risk overheating the unit if airflow isn’t perfect.

Option B — Use the exhaust heat

Some portable ACs vent hot air through a hose — if you rig the hose indoors or into an adjacent unused room, that expelled heat can contribute some warmth (though again, very inefficient).

🔥 3. If you just want warmth and don’t have a reversible AC

Your better move:
  • Get a small heat pump space heater (they make portable units now that plug into 120V).
  • Or just use a ceramic or oil-filled electric heater; they convert 100% of the electricity into heat and are far simpler and safer than trying to abuse an AC.

💡 Bonus: Insulation counts

Even the best heater won’t help much if the room leaks air like a screen door. If you’re trying to heat with limited power, seal windows and gaps first — it’s the cheapest efficiency upgrade.
