1st time growing dwc and grow tent

Oh, also; you have to tell us as much about your setup as possible, or we're just guessing. Vague statements like "well it's what I read..." are of no use. I added some info sorry

My latest seed start in rockwool cubes was dismal; only 7/20 survived and were stunted, 2 were male. They are doing fine now.

Seems you are doing everything just right. Sometimes they can just be picky little b%$@*'s.

What water are you using, tap or ro?
Some beautiful plants man. Tap water. I let buckets sit with air stone for 3 days to help with the chlorine I guess. Seen that's what everyone does on here and Reddit

Yes, 24 hrs will generally suffice, but 72 even better as long as they don't use chlorimine, it needs a charchol filter, strong uv light or RO to remove it. Most utility companies have their h2o reports online. I prefer RO bc I like to know exactly what my girls are getting.

Something I need to look in too. Thanks so much for all the info

Np 420 minus one buds lol. Wait until they take off, you'll be amazed at how fast they grow in that setup and be hooked. And I always tell people that as long as they're green they can be rescued 9 out of 10 times. And just know that there will be casualties along the way; it's just the nature of the game. Don't get discouraged if/when you murder one here or there, especially when you're at the low end of the learning curve and trying to dial in your new system. Shit happens, you know?

Good luck homie, there's other dwc people here that should chime in eventually 👊😎

So decided to try my luck at growing bought a grow tent kit with a DWC. Germination went great got my seeds from fast buds (promotion code 419BUDZ) I'm in about a week and a half in the dwc system it's like no growth. One of my plants starting a yellowing Brown for sure think it's over watering but I'm not for sure plus I don't understand why nothing seems to be growing. I'm sticking to pretty good environment example for seedlings. From what a read and seen what others do. Times humidity VPD PMm water temps pH all seen within range in pretty steady but still feel like I'm having issues any help would be greatly appreciatedView attachment 2565752
what’s in the water
What type of water?
What fertilizer?
Do you measure your concentration?
Start with that 😀.

Read the thread, all that is in there...👍✌️

He could use some "seedlings > in 1" rockwool cubes> into clay balls" > onto dwc buckets" hints if you have any 🤓✌️

I give juss pH water till 3rd or 4th set of true leaves, with lights 2' away. Clip the 4th set to start training then after the shock is gone I start my seeding nutritiant mix. Once I see them start taking off I might lower the lights to 16"-18 inches till flower.
I am DWC, 12/12, regular seeds.

Anyway welcome to The Farm

I have rockwool cube I started seed in . Used the clay around it. So you do all rockwool? Is it better that way
Why do you put clay around it?
My rockwool when it expands it gets stuck in the pot soo the roots as soon as they go out of the cube they are in a magical food ritch land high humidity and protein rain

Thanks Mike been a lot of help already

Seedlings don’t need fertilizer until 2nd full set of leaves

Rockwool can not sit in water. Soak it but let it drain down to its equilibrium. Too wet rock wool has killed as many clones as too much light

Light. Go over 35ppfd and you can kill clones, seedlings can go higher

Hope these little bits help bro. Ask anything you need

Just thought that's what you do.

Update I lowered my light% this morning

Thanks alot man

Update. Lower light to 30 %.just did a water change with RO water 6.0 pH, temp 67, and lower to 1 inch under baskets. Basket in my dwc are big. Almost the size of the bucket top. Changing water I seen clay looks drenched in water all the way to the top so i lowered air pressure a little too. So the(left) seedling it's all yellowish and brown but today it does have 4 extra leafs. Almost look like it's two more sets of nodes. So that's why I lowered light percentage thinking there's so much light the plant don't need to stretch it all I also just purchased(Order from Amazon) the hydro sensors for pH TDS etc and the light sensor from AC Infinity . Once they come in and get them hooked up have better data collecting of water and light data.

I love those pods, I only use those or rock wool, gotta watch the pH on rockwool though!!! Coco an pods are pH like nothing. Rockwool on the other hand tends to hold on to manufacturing pH fer glass. Weird I know. Clay pellets, I don't use. Too to porous and collect and breed bad shite. Coco or rockwool with DWC is best fer me. Here is a lil bit of my last crop two tents.
