Hermy detected! I was checking trichomes and I swear I knew it, I knew it was maturing faster for some reason. I thought maybe it got self pollinated, I mentioned several times and here it is, I found a naner.
Asd

This one is young so I dont think it had a lot plus I checked them as much as I could considering the jungle I have below the net and I didnt see any. But now I know, seems like its ready anyway so Im gonna chop it before the lights go on tomorrow. It could use a few days more which is what I was gonna give her but now, no way hahaha.

I choped half of it in the dark, the other half Im not even gonna try to chop it in the dark with all the jungle I have in there. It had to be one in the back -.- oh well, at least I wont be mutilating the ones from the other indoors now hahaha. A couple of buds from the haul, still half plant to go when the lights go on:

Can you spot the naners? ;) I have not seen an open one yet or any seed so maybe itll be fine or just a very small ammount of seeds. The other plants are maturing accordingly to the chart so I doubt they got pollinated or maybe just a small bud here and there.
Sorry about the quality of the pictures, I need my friend's phone to take good pictures and he's not here. My camera sucks and my hands tremble.

Im excited to announce that Im gonna do my first 20 gallon grow next grow. I will use white clover, chickpeas, lentils and buckwheat as cover crop and that pot will never be emptied or thats the goal at least. @Mikedin might need your help with that, your beatiful pot made me wanna do the same hahaha. Are those cover crops good? When should I plant the cover crops? At the same time as the cannabis seed or later on? How many gallons is your pot? Do you think 20gal is enough? Ill do it in the 3x3 tenet, you recommend any other size?
I chose 2 cover crops that fix nitrogen and help with pests and 2 that degrade faster (the legums).

Add worms. And birds, and ferrets and a camp and a river.

I was also thinking about putting more biochar on the bottom, on top of the arlite, to retain nutrients for when the plant reaches there. What do you guys think?

Well the grow is ending, day 1 I will cut the big indoors and day 8 the small one since theyre a week behind, if they dont decide to take longer (fingers crossed).
Things that I could have done better when going with 0 defoliation: get rid of at least the lower fan leaves and a few upper leaves, I feel like I could have gotten more without removing any bud site but accomplishing better light penetration. The side lights helped but with such a jungle below the net only the closests ones were benefiting. Overall happy with the results, tons of material for kief and a fair ammount of upper and middle buds to smoke, mission accomplished ๐Ÿ˜
Will probably post more pics but they are not gonna change much from the last video, theyre already curling the pistils.

For the bottom and mid section buds but it never hurts. They are useful, I shared a study the other day where yields were increased by 20%+/- (but there were no images provided about set up so this might not be true for all methods, specially not if you only keep the upper colas and lollipop the rest) in the trainwreck thread. I noticed the difference, specially in the mid section buds, but I failed to create an even distribution of light by refusing to remove leaves and I think that hurted the 2 that are furthest away from the side lights, which have smaller mid section buds and less mature.

Seeds have been ordered. Kind of a new spanish bank (Anesia seeds) that claims more than 30% THC in many of their strains so lets see what they have to offer. My selection:
Privileged baddie: Sativa dominant. Lemony and sweet with a mint after taste. Claims up to 36% THC
1764365221417

First Lady: Indica dominant. Lemon, gas and earthy. Claims up to 38% THC.

Also they have 2x1 right now if anyone wants to try them. Im not sure but I think they ship to the US, they ship to many countries including asian countries.
Also some bad news, due to economic problems the big pot living soil will have to wait so its gonna be 4 plants per indoors as usual. Still in living soil and 100% organic of course.

Okay now its the last time, I was a lazy fuck could have taken a video to show the colors and buds or something hahaha. For the ones interested, I show the first leaves at the end, didnt remove anything that didnt fall on its own or almost. I even let the first leave that got nute burn before transplant live (the plant didnt have nute burn, just that leaf because I didnt realize when watering with nutes I left it all wet, its the leaf at the end of the video)

The old timer Iโ€™ve talked to would layer nutrients and stuff within the pot so once the plant reached it was available. I dont know anything about bio char but the idea layering and all is definitely a thing : )

Dude your plants are looking fire!๐Ÿ˜ โœŒ๏ธ

Biochar is just a nutrient buffer, also a home for microorganisms and it helps areate the substrate too while mantaining a decent humidity, so the biochar if not fully charged before use will catch the nutrients when you water.
Thanks! Its been ages since Ive done a no defoliation grow and I think this is by far the best one. The upper buds are not the same as with lollipoping but I have plenty of buds that I dont mind using for hash, which was the goal. The upper ones are gonna be smoked though ๐Ÿ˜›

ok. Yeah Iโ€™ve seen it before : ) never looked into beyond that lol. Sounds like some good stuff though!

Thats a cool comparison on the buds! Iโ€™ve evolved to leaving as much on will stay on like you did this round. I like to think the more leave the merrier! : )

Oh yeah gotta smoke that top shelf! ๐Ÿคฉ really nice run, man!

I do two light de-foils; they're due for the 2nd one now that the stretch has slowed. Anything that is healthy, is taking in taking in co2, stripping the carbon and expelling o2; at the same time as "feeding" the colas (even leaves that are shaded contribute). The added transpiration, causes turgidity, which in turn causes the plant to suck up more water and nutrients. This equals more colas and biomass. Even the yellowing leaves are giving up their mobile nutrients.

~95โ€“99% of all carbon in a plant comes from the air
โ€” specifically from COโ‚‚ absorbed through the leaves during photosynthesis.

Only 1โ€“5% of the plantโ€™s carbon comes from the soil, and even that is indirect (microbial inputs, root exudates, etc.).
Plants do not get carbon from soil minerals โ€” they get nutrients from soil, but carbon comes from the atmosphere.

๐ŸŒฟ What percentage of a plantโ€™s dry mass is carbon?

A plantโ€™s dry biomass is typically:

โญ โ‰ˆ 45% carbon (range 40โ€“50%)

This varies by species:

Wood / trees: ~50% carbon

Herbaceous plants: 40โ€“45% carbon

Agricultural crops: 40โ€“48% carbon

So nearly half of all dry plant matter is just carbon pulled straight from atmospheric COโ‚‚.

I know @Eledin aready knows this, I'm typing for the benefit of others who read this thread.

Plus I'm high af and feel like jabbering
