Home! Heres that other video of the dripper acting like its got some air lock or something going onšŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

Ok deleted the damn video as it wouldn’t post now that im on wifi at home. Tried to use PTA’s tip of uploading for the pic button and that didnt work either (I’ve tried both video and picture button) im over it. I get too frustrated with computer shit when it doesnt work lol! Im mean come on! You’ve seen my memes right!? i suck at computers! šŸ¤£āœŒļø

This is a guess, but the drippers slowing could be a clog. What type of nutrients are you running through it? I know my stuff is a bit chunky.

For the cloner nutes I use clonex sometimes because it's made specifically to not clog up sprayers.

I want to see you get this running. I've been wanting to set up an automated feed rig. I'm terrible at keeping my watering schedule locked in.

That’s a possibility! Using the green leaf line up, it’s all pretty fine except the cal-mag, those dissolve pretty quickly and I even wait a few minutes to let it all do its thing. I run a heavy h2o2/water mix in a small clean bucket to drain the line after each use. Ive seen the bottles I use with left over feed in them left for a while in the heat and that’s not what I want in the plants lol!

I’ll go out tomorrow and take a few of the drippers apart to see if they have build up or anything else in them. heck yeah man I can’t wait to get it dialed. Thanks Tumble!

I forgot to say, this is the entire reason for it🤣 I’ll admit, I’ve had my plants bone dry way too many times!🤣 when I say I’m broken, I mean I’m broken! šŸ¤¦šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļøšŸ¤ŖšŸ˜‚

Side note. Thank god cats dont have access to hand grenades! Hahahaha!

That's a hell of a pump for drip lines I'd think. And it aint supposed to be making the water turn in that direction unless, and I'm guessing again, but maybe too much pressure in the lines. I'm w/ tumble and would like to see ya pull this one off. Back in the early hydro days for me the word "syphon" came up way too often

So before I thought about a clog as tumble mentioned, this was one of my thoughts!

Another thing I hadn’t taken into account is this was an old pump i got from the guy who gave me a couple lights for helping him out! Maybe it’s just old and toasted.

If it is in fact too much pressure im wondering if i could add a relief valve or if that would allow too much pressure too escape thus not enough pressure to get the drips dripping?

Either way im going to keep playing it! : ) it’s still really nice and is functioning at 90% in my opinion. And if i gotta have a couple cobwebs (as long as it’s not from spider mites) im ok working along with them hahaha!

Thanks jj! ā¤ļøāœŒļø

Hey bear, a couple of things...

I mix my nutes in a 1gal pitcher with about 6 cups of water, using my cordless drill and plastic paint stirrer. Add to the reservoir once thoroughly dissolved. First I do the calmag+ by itself and dump in the reservoir. Then I mix the rest of the greenleaf nutes all together and dump that into the reservoir. There is a separate pump in the bottom of the reservoir that runs 24/7, keeping everything mixed, moving and aerated.

I don't use drippers bc they clog; just wide open 1/4 inch tubes to each plant.

Loop the trunk line back to the reservoir with a valve on it that can be opened and closed to increase or decrease pressure at the drippers (or in my case just open 1/4" tubes). You've already seen the 1/4" valves I use on ea lead.

Don't forget my anti-siphon hack if your reservoir level is higher than your plants

Crap now I gotta check drippers...

Hell yeah Mike! Even I can understand that system. Just one question, timer for the pump gets increased run time as plants get bigger?

My system is recirculating. The feed pump runs the entire 12hrs the lights are on, then 15 min on 30 min off during 12hrs dark bc of the small pot size. They drink about 1.5-2gal during dark hours.

Was wondering about the pot size but it’s obviously working! You’ve basically modified an NFT system, sweet bro!

You taking notes 🐻?

Right on man, thank you for the explanation! I’m going to have some time to play with it all in the next few days.

I’m hoping I can get away with using the drippers but if I need to ditch them I will. Totally can use them in the veggie garden on peppers and what not with plain water.

I think if I open the lines up to just 1/4 and no drippers I’d definitely need an anti siphon. Thanks again Mike!āœŒļø

I dug around, I like this one dude's solution I've found using a large sewing needle to push some thread/yarn into the emitters, then push them into soil, then pull the thread/yarn out once they're seated. I re-seated mine with wire bent into a hook, same idea.
Is there any like... drilling or anything to suggest emitters would work to clog themselves once seated? I didn't see evidence of any.

that sounds like an interesting technique : )

I havent seen anything for unclogging the drippers. Could use some pipe cleaner maybe?
