Hi I’m 45 and from Australia. I have a spinal cord jury and while I have access to prescribed thc/cbd oil it is expensive and I have to carefully ration it to last the month

The other down side is ingesting it does not provide immediate relief it can take up to an hour for the pain relief to fully take effect.

Funny fact the doctor can prescribe me opioids they’re cheap highly addictive and have many negative side effects and easily obtained.

The THC oil is is prescribed by a specialist and the cost of the consultation and the oil is more than buying a quarter ounce of weed off the street. And requires special paper work and the chemist can’t stock it and has to order it in specially.

Any way ridiculous Australian politics aside.

I’ve decided to grow for a few reasons the gardening is therapeutic in itself and rewarding and I’d rather not make sketchy connections buying on the street.

So here is my set up 5 Feminised autos in 30ltr pots growing outdoors.

I’ve planned for failure with 5 plants but now starting to think I might have more buds than I can ever use.

I have 5 healthy seedlings just starting to unfold their 2nd nodes.

I am giving them full morning sun until the uv index gets to about 3 then move them to bright shade until there is no shade and then filtered sunlight behind shade cloth on my patio until the uv index drops before one last dose of late evening sun.

I plan to do this until they are established enough to stay out in the full sun all day.

Looking for any advice, things to be aware of or look out for.

Perhaps tips for drying and curing to make sure what I produce lasts me until next season.

Welcome to the farm.
I dont think you can ever have enough. : )

If you extract it, it takes up very little room and you can use it for a lot of stuff.
I just did 3oz and have already used 1/3.

I know not all Aussies take as much pride in their lawn speaking from experience hey mine has been mowed and snipped that’s good enough for me I don’t like growing anything but weedπŸ˜‚πŸ‘

My plants are starting to spread their second set of leaves and seem to be on track for their age.

We had some extremely hot temps here touching 40celcius over the weekend and was scared I was going to loose them but they pull through

You grow for the same reasons as I do. Many ozs to you! Curing I use brown paper bags and burp at least twice a day. Fresh harvest can be made into cannabis oil with sunflower lecithin for bioavailability; one can freeze it and or make medibles.

I definitely be asking some questions when I get to the drying and curing stage.

I read that the dutch use brown paper bags to cure so me being frugal just use free WinCo grocery paper bags as they are thicker. Last harvest of cannabis fuel Cbd was chopped and directly placed into said bag... I leave all the leaves. A awesome strain as it is fuelly & pine and lemon it you get that trait and zeros pain out. Next harvest will similar just placed into paper bag & a food grade bucket with a gamma lid and twice daily burps.
Grab your just cut harvest add coconut oil cup for an oz then add atleast a half a cup of water also and I use a crock pot on low and stir every hour. Once done I add the sunflower lecithin and stir it around. Strain it freeze it and the water will help separate the bits of green gold.

Happy growth and many returns to all!

Cat decided she wanted edibles right now!

Stopped her before she did too much damage she chewed part of a leaf off and bent another seedling over. I stood the seedling back up with a little soil to support it.

It seems to have bounced back like nothing happened hopefully this one she chewed on recovers

I was thinking about writing this girl off yesterday.
1767035151251

That is over 4 weeks growth, she was the last to germinate had some deformed nodes and uneven growth
Growth stalled out after about 2 weeks.
She is about 3 inches tall when her siblings are 4-5x bigger
Then overnight she explodes, I come out at sunrise to put them out in the best morning sun and she is now almost doubled in size and looks amazing

There is still hope for this little one
