Finishing up my second grow in the 4x4. Learned a lot this time around. Ran into some issues but thats part of the endeavor. Have another 4 weeks left so its time to start a new batch. These seeds were gifted to me from my dear friend Jack! Free beans are the best beans indeed! Shout out to my homie Jack! I'll be sending you a fresh pack once these babies are done! We are running 3 feminized Aloha Limone girls from Colorado Seed Company this time around. I can already tell these are good genetics by how quickly they germinated and popped. Super fast! This will be an easy soil run in FFOF. Just plain water until stretch time. I had some issues with the last batch of FFOF. It was literally hot as shit and I was dealing with an excess of nitrogen for a little. I should have everything figured out this time around though. I will be breaking my soil down a bit more with an innate medium to balance the hotness as best as possible. Mistakes are important, without them we become complacent and have a hard time growing. Appreciate any input whether positive or negative. Cheers yall!
Very nice

I just flipped them to flower. Going to continue feeding them veg nutes until the stretch is over. Then ill top dress with flower nutes around week 2.5ish. All is looking good!

Day 4 fower. I went ahead and top dressed another 2 tablespoons/plant of the 444. That brings us to a total of 5 tablespoons/plant over the last two weeks. I wish I knew more about the strength of this food. Only trial and error will tell. So far so good. Now I can kick back and chill until week 3 or after stretch. Then ill do one more heavy defoliation. Then chill until harvest. Btw humidifier doubles and works as a ghetto cloner. Lol.

Your plants look great. Keep doing what you're doing.

Day 8 flowere here. All is well. Ill top dress another 3 tablespoons per container next time I water. Plants are still getting compost teas with every watering. Chilling until week three so I can do a final defoliation/lollipop and coast till harvest. My seedlings are doing ok and one of my cuttings rooted/cloned too. I put a few cuttings in a cup of water and one rooted. Might as well try to keep it alive right?

Cheers Yall!

You use more nutes than I do but I could up what I'm feeding ;-). I'm using autopots and nutes can be over done better than ever with a reservoir system.

Lookin' great. So many buds in your future :-).

These are big plants and a hungry strain it looks like. Next week will be the last dose of veg nutes and then week 3.5 ill top dress with flower nutes. That should take me almost all the way through flower. Ill feed them with bottled organics towards the end along with some pk booster as needed towards the end. This is supposed to be an 8-10 week strain which is alot quicker than my previous grow. Here they are at day 11 flower.

Day 14 🌼 here. Plants are stretching nicely. Really need a proper defoliation again though. Went ahead and top dressed with another 2 tablespoons of 444 per plant and watered it in with some compost tea. Veg nutes for another week or two and then ill top dress for flower and defoliate. Looking good imo.

Day 17 🌼 today! Plants are still stretching and growing vigorously. They are already in desperate need of a defoliation. 9

Day 21 🌼 and everything looks great. Two of the four phenos are showing pink pistols which is neat. Plants got their last top dress of 444 and a little bit of flower nutes. They'll get their final top dress next week when I defoliate and adjust some branches.

Spent all night defoliating as best as I could. Plants are looking great and smell fantastic. They are giving off some intense bubblegum smells. Like literally smell like old school bubblicious gum. Crazy how it smells exactly like bubblegum. I went ahead and top dressed the pots with a layer of diatomaceous earth as I have a small gnat problem. One of the downsides to organic growing is those damn gnats. I always end up getting a few. Ill go ahead and bottom water/feed from a week or so. Hopefully that helps to knock them all out. Debating whether I should top dress to finish them off or just bottle feed organics until finish. Idk.

Looking really good. One of the four plants is looking alot frostier than the others but all are promising. Im getting sour bubblegum smells all around. Very sour though which I love! Lots of trichome production for only 4 weeks. Looks like thr diatomaceous earth and bottom watering killed off all of the flying gnats. Ill go ahead and scoop up the earth at the end of this week and continue top watering and feeding/dressing. My veg plants look okay too. I topped them and they are just now starting to bounce back from that. I'll go ahead and start lst training tonight on them as well. One of the clones made it and looks healthy again whereas the other two were just planted and I'm not sure they'll make it as they look rough. These were cloned by just sitting in a glass of water so its to be expected. 😆

Went ahead and put one of the shorter plants on a platform so she's closer to the light and even with the others. One more bottom watering to do this week to kill off the gnats with the diatomaceous earth. Ill then scoop it up and add the⁰ final top dress to take me to the end of flower. Also going to give a little silica, epsom salt, and pk booster starting next week at once a week until finish.

I went ahead and added one 110 watt led bar light for some additional under canopy lighting. I've read great things about adding some under canopy lighting and how an additional 100 watt can sometimes result in up to 20% more weight. Im curious to see if the bottom buds will fatten/dense up alot more due to the extra lighting. Plants look great and all is well!

Cheers

You could get more light by moving the top lights down. If you look at charts on lights (eg. https://www.hortibest.com/info-deta...row-lights-maximizing-plant-growth-efficiency ) where your lights are gives great spread but less light to the plants. I have a pully system on my light and can move it up and down. It's a 50 lb. light though so I don't move it a lot. I used a 2x3 to prop it up to adjust height the other day.

Plants are looking good for sure !

I definately could move the light down a bit if I wanted to and even crank it a little higher. Its a 650 watt light and currently is at 80%. The way it sits now I'm getting anywhere from 600-950 par throughout the canopy. I've never had to go above 80% as its too much imo. I tried it at first and the plants didn't like it. Maybe if I had co2 I could crank it to 100% though. Maybe ill mess with the height this week to see if bringing it closer would be beneficial. We shall see. I should have been running the under canopy light bar for a while now as I've had these light bars sitting in my closet for a few years now. Curious to see if it helps bulk up some of the lower nodes I didn't lollipop all the way. Im going to be purchasing or building my own cloner too soon. Going to switch up my plan of attack soon here. Want to start taking big healthy clones of my winners and running them quickly into flower. Thinking of taking like twenty clones and picking ten of the healthiest ones to put into the tent. Do a quick two week veg in the tent and go straight into flower. I think this would be alot quicker and would give me way better quality control. Well see. Im also getting ready for an outdoor run this year. So I need some clones to be ready for the end of April.

If your plants are happy you've already made good choices. I never wanted to run co2 mostly because it's another thing to take care of or mess up.

The best way I've found to get better light penetration is LST using yarn and masking tape. Tape to the plastic pot and a single tie around a branch and things stretch out. I'm using colorful yarn now so it isn't hard to see what's happening. I'm only growing one plant in a 4x4 tent this grow. The second one turned out to be male.
