Did you use straight coco or was there a ratio of perlite or something?I'm about to call this experiment with coco a failure. It just doesn't drain well enuf to work in my system. I'm sure they've got root rot and aren't going to fatten before they die. The root balls were too small to begin with, but with constant, free flowing irrigation would have sufficed, if not for the rot. (believe me, they look way better on camera that in person)
For my nest experiment, I'm going to use square pots with shredded rockwool....

Straight coco. I have perlite but forgot to add it. The problem is that I put round pieces of cut grow bags in the bottoms of the pots to keep the coco in. It worked good at 1st but eventually plugged up with coco fines, causing water to stagnate in the bottom of the pots. Next grow will be with twice as much volume, with rockwool instead of coco. I have slabs, but am trying to get away from them bc of the cost and immobility of the plants, once established on said slabs. Don't forget, these started out as red solo contestants.... The biggest cali blue would now be 7-8' tall if I straightened her up.... Just way to big for a 3L pot. imoDid you use straight coco or was there a ratio of perlite or something?
It wasn't a failure man. It was an experience and an experiment that still came out pretty well. Just to your standards for yourself it may have been a failure, but it is still impressiveStraight coco. I have perlite but forgot to add it. Spider mites are a nightmare and a half. They are a pain in the ass. I'm sorry you have to battle them soldierMy cali blue got tall but damn not 7-8 feet. From the soil she stands just over four feet tall, she was maybe 32” when I flopped her. Lots of stretch. That was with a three day power outage just before flip. I wonder if it slowed down the stretch a little. She smells so good though. Cant wait for the first joint of her. I just sprayed for spider mites so lights are low and fans are high. I guess I didn’t clean well enough. Starting to think spider mites are like the herpes of pest management

I am on the fence about it. Being as I don’t trust the government, I can see it screwing us.Just gonna say it, this is what fascism looks like.
this scares me a bit,
And it’s truly absurd.
I was careless and brought established strawberry plants into the house and never even noticed them. I definitely won’t be doing that again. They have a habit of showing up mid flower and then I hesitate to spray for them because it’s mid flower. I just need to remain vigilant and spray regularly for a few lifecycles. I use a corn oil and thyme oil additive 10ml per 16 ounces of water. Light gets dimmed and fans get cranked up for an hour. Once everything is dry I will turn fans down and turn lights up.Also why I run micron filters on my intake. As well as changing my clothes before going into my room or I take my jacket off before unzipping the tent for a peak. If I'm messing with my plants, usually in pajamas and slippers because it's first and last thing I do.
I second that oneI am on the fence about it. Being as I don’t trust the government, I can see it screwing us.
Hahahaha this reminds me of my granpas window washing van, found weed and c#ke in the glove box. I was young so I gave it to my dad because I was told to bring them anything I find in small bags lol. Found out later in life my dad gave my mom the weed and enjoyed a little bump in life if you catch my drift
