Magnesium deficiency i think thats where we are at but not sure thanks
white runtz... in soil. Using envy part a 2 parts part b 1 part nutrients. still in veg. Before I flip to flower I want to deal with the deficiency. From what I gathered its magnesium deficiency? Which i added 2 tsb of epsom salt to my plants today just to see but just curious what's everyone's thoughts. Should I add more if thats what it is every watering until its fixed or should it clear up soon. Thanks everyone in advanced this is 3x3 tent humidity 50 percent 70 to 80 degrees and light is at 70 percent.

Be carful when trying to figure what the problem is , every time you add something without completely knowing whats going on could compound your problems if it wasnt what it needed, turn everything down, light and fan and just use water for a day or two then go from there is what id do and focus on how the new growth looks

the plants seem to be recovering today I turned the bottom fan on low turned the light to 50 percent added the epsom salt which looks to be on track to helping these girls get to a good spot before I flip to flower.

The overall rough look, might be struggling through transpiration too. I would check EC too. Nothing looks burnt and mid plant is okay but if it got an aggressive dryback or two it could be headed that way.
Can you please explain EC and transpiration specifically with these plants. Last grow i lost all fan leaves by week 7 of flower. I certainly dont won't that to happen again although I got about 14 ounces of some fire flower it could have been better. Thanks for the advice please keep it coming

Also if EC means environmental control that could very well be the problem. I am getting ready for major heart surgery janaury 20th I finally got it dailed in since we just moved here and couldn't get humidity above 30 percent for first 3 weeks 😅 I need to get this thing dialed in so my wife has it easy until I get back on my feet from Surgery.

Bingo.. get that humidity up. and ya, Magnesium

Ec is another measurement of TDS (total disolved solids) it's the electrical conductivity of the water due to the ions from nutrients. So basically it's a measurement. Measuring your run off and checking how high the ec is can help tell you if you are in a nutrient lock or if you are in need of feed. This is one basis that will help dial in your grow. 👍🏼 I would suggest reading up on it yourself to have a better self understanding.

"Hey Siri, what are EC and transpiration?" I figured I'd save myself typing the explanation. 🤣

So the EC someone else covered a little, and to measure it you use a little handheld probe the size of a magic marker , which is why we call them EC pens or pH pens. It measures the nutrient availability. Well technically it measures the electrical conductivity of ionized minerals in water but that's essentially what nutrients are. Caveat... The ionized minerals you find in your water are NOT guaranteed to be beneficial to the plant. Sodium chloride for example. So just because you've got good EC isn't a guarantee you have good nutrients for the plant. And what we want to avoid is higher concentrations of EC in the soil, because it physically damages roots. We use EC pens along the way. After mixing up a batch of water with nutrients we can put a probe in and see the EC value that gives us an idea of how much we are feeding them. Then afterward we can put a probe into the water coming out of the pot, and that tells us how they liked their meal that we just fed them.

Transpiration is, for my lack of a better description, how a plant "breathes." There are capillaries on the leaves called stomata that open and close and water and gases move through them. If they're not opening and closing, the rhythm is off or they're staying closed then transpiration is off and you fix it by dialing in the environment (RH, temperature, lighting and air circulation) with specs that cannabis prefers.

Here is the plant week 6 of flower man did turning the light down really worked i am shocked at the results of just 50 percent light. Definitely was potassium def or magnesium def because the epsom salt has worked ive been giving it 2 tsp per gallon per week and seems to have done the trick. The leaves I posted is that just nutrient burn or is it something else I should be concerned about. Its just one plant doing it. Sorry for all the questions guys im still fairly new to this and where im from its very illegal and I dont know anyone else to ask. Thanks in advance because all you guys rock!

And I will say sometimes the temp has been dropping as low as 66 but I got the heater turned all the way up

Magnesium deficiency? YES DEFILITELY

DOES IT MEAN YOU NEED TO ADD MORE MAGNESIUM/SALTS TO YOUR FEED? FUCK NO!

Most replies are so caveman approach that im impressed you guys even managed to get internet access

Most deficiencies dont come from nutrition - we are literally using products that are absurdly sharp and have been improved for the past 100 years at least - if you loosely follow whatever the bottle tells you to it will suffice for 90% of strains.

Well done recognising the magnesium deficifency - now ask yourself what is causing it - im sure it isnt a lack of magnesium - in fact in few cases it will be a lockout - if caused by misfeeds. The other 9 out of 10 times it is your environment that is off. Make sure your airflow and vpd are on point - pay attention to your feeding technique, you might be watering/feeding too often, look for pests and whatnot but for the love of god dont go tweaking the feeding as people tell you gibberish - feed should be the last thing you tweak - my broadest advice in this situation is -
Make sure your envioronment is on point and slow down a little bit in every sense until shes back to health state and take back from there - a lot of growers includng myself will mistake these plants for f1 cars but they are still plants - my personal experience: hands off/ no panic/let them be approach works best if your environment is well managed
