The spots on those leaves can only be one of two things and neither one of them is trichome development. You've either got a big problem or no problem at all and I wouldn't leave it up to the AI to decide.

It's calcium minerals from when I ran out of distilled water for the humidifier. There is no mildew aroma, nothing on the underside of the leaves and they pass the peroxide test.

PM does not:
  • Present as uniform shimmer following leaf veins
  • Appear heavily on sugar leaves near buds first
  • Pass a peroxide wipe
  • Exist without underside colonization
  • Stay static for weeks in stable 45–55% RH
  • Appear with zero mildew odor
Trichome-heavy, resin-forward cultivars absolutely do show:
  • Vein-following sparkle
  • “Dusty” appearance under LED
  • Heavy frost on fans near flowers
Especially mid–late flower.
Especially indoors.
Especially with modern genetics.

It's amazing how so many folks are so quick to diagnose PM without seeing, touching, smelling, running the peroxide test, seeing the underside of the leaves. If I'm wrong, I'll eat my hat. But, you don't fix what the data says isn't broken.

DO NOT trust 2, 5, and 6 from the first list.

I didn't say it was PM. I said it was 100% not trichomes. That data is "broken" because while technically true, it doesn't apply to the plants shown in those pics. And while I may not touch or smell your grow, I can see it, and I've grown enough plants to know those are not trichomes. It's either residue or PM. If you say it's residue I believe you 100%

Hopefully kust all those things AI is telling you it is and NOT PM.......you'll find out quick after smoking that if it WAS PM 🤦🏼‍♂️

Your plants look good!! 👊🏼

Well other than the calcium residue and/or major trichome production on all the fan leaves

Indeed a strange place to find them.
So like if that's the case it needs to be bred by care for the trait.
However really immediately, you could either use a test method OR snort a bunch of it.
If you're right you lose nothing.

PM and vigorous growth don't go together.

People said the same thing about watermelon and feta yet here we are. 🍉

I'd love to see all those frosty trichomes fan leaves in a close up, in focus shot. Because it that pic one could mistake it for bug damage as well.

Flower Day 37 – final update

Just wanted to close the loop on this grow and thank those who offered input.

I’ve continued to monitor closely using the same criteria throughout flower — underside inspections, smell, progression over time, and stable environmental control. There has been no spread, no tissue damage, no odor, and no change in leaf or bud integrity as the plants continue stacking and maturing normally.

At this point I’m comfortable with the assessment and the direction of the grow, so I’ll be focusing on finishing it out rather than continuing the debate here. I appreciate the perspectives shared and wish everyone the best with their gardens.

I’ll post a final harvest update elsewhere once things wrap up.

If you thought this was just a place to come get accolades on your pretty flowers I'm sorry I crashed your party. My comments were made with good intentions. This is a community that is always trying to help inexperienced growers and looking out for things that might get missed. Before you edited and changed your last post I screen shot another example.

Being open to constructive criticism from knowledgeable sources will get you far. AI is great for blowing smoke up your ass but you won't find a lot of that here.

Understood. I wasn’t looking for accolades, just documenting my grow and weighing the feedback. I’ve got enough information at this point and will finish it out offline. Appreciate the concern and wish everyone well.

I also wish ken well. I am glad you were a good sport about the ribbing you got but this is where high people congregate to talk about weed not a cutting edge scientific journal.
Overall I think this thread aged well and the fact you did not storm off the field with your ball shows me we did have an adult in the room.
Looking forward to the harvest report.

Well sort of........did not take well to ANY advice but rather told everyone they wrong and AI was always correct......then literally left his own thread since he has 'learned' enough and is 100% certain he is correct and the grow is near unicorn perfect.....
Will post harvest elsewhere!?

Would not say thats being a good sport.

In fact (my opinion) does not at all help new growers.....but hey thats just my opinion.

All the best man!! 👍🏼

I use AI like a little conversation buddy constantly, but it's nowhere near smart enough to turn over the wheel too. It's coaching has been about "functional" but the whole lot of us are parting ways with it on the mold, it's red flag all over. I'd need to find the particulars about peroxide testing but I don't think it'd pass on the fan leaves. I would not trust it over say 3-4 experienced humans agreeing in concert that it is wrong.

Fuck it, call the clown show. Spaulding says it's grown wings and started shitting live rosin diamonds I'd take it as an article of faith. Ask him if it's mold.

Hope u like the taste of hat mate😂👍
