Hey Guys id thought i share my new grow with you.

The Plants are 2 Zourgum from TH Seeds and a White Runtz free seed with unknown breeder.

For the Lamps im using 3 DIY Led panels i build from crescience strips. Around 600W and 1500 PPFD across the whole space at 35 cm with option to dim the blue light and run around 1000 ppfd at 400W. Its a bit of weird concept i know but if i really want to push the lights in flower i do that with the blue spectrum strip :)

The Buckets are 20l with option to switch to 30l later and are fueled 600l/hour air per bucket.

As Fertilizer im using Plagron Hydro A+B and Plagron Green sensation later in flower to boost p and iron a tiny tiny bit. Aim is to run something like 50-150 N 30-80 P and 50-150 K depending on which part of the grow it is.

For root safety i rely on tnc bactor i used it last try, the roots turned horribly brown which im unsure was to much TNC or light leak but otherwise perfectly healthy. I try to run it without that browning this time.

The first seed sprouted on 24. was put into net pot on 25. the other 2 on 26. and put into net pot on 27. and all together put into the buckets on 29.

Feel free for suggestion i cant do a lot about the temps right now (18C) they will get warmer throughout veg the more lights come on and everything will be perfect in flower. Currently im a bit worried about the slowed down seed growth but im sure they are just searching for water.

I set them up with 225 PPM PH 5,5 and around 320 PPFD at 24 hours.

I would get rid of the aluminum foil this will not help in any respect and could actually hinder with added chemicals leeching in to your plants. The clay pebbles should be enough to block any light into your buckets. I have been doing DWC for a while with some great success.

Thanks for the Input i will keep that in mind and maybe remove it later when the plant produces flower to keep them chemical free. It didnt harm the plant last time around.

Edit: Thinking about im actually gonna remove it asap and build something out of plastic. Thanks again dont want to smoke aluminium.

Quick Update. Temps actually rose to 22 degrees the next Day. Reservoir temps are 18 degree C.
Yesterday the first root poked out of the net pot it was the plant that got in the netpot first.
PH of nutrient solution rose from 5,5 when i first set it up to 6,2 so i added 5 mil Canna ph down to each bucket which left them exactly at 5,8.
RH is a bit low at 44% but the buckets act somewhat as a humidifier and the plants are sitting right at the exhaust of it so that should be fine.

Top growth is still slowed down heavy but under these conditions they should start to take off soon i will switch the light today to 20/4 or 21/3.

That tiny root is already 5-10 cm today but the other plants still dont show roots.

Update 2

Plants finally took off 3 days ago, changed water today. New solution setup at 5,3 PH 280-320 PPM.
Slight brown buildup on air hose and roots but the old plant had completely brown roots and was heatly so i dont think that is a concern.

Also added a Picture of the last DWC plant during stretch biggest plant ive ever grown tookup half of the tent sadly her sister stayed short and hermed out.

Update: I just ignored them for the last week thats how they look now. Going to setup new water in a few days add silica and try to go half strength in veg nutes. Also going to add bennies again i left them out last time due to nice water temps. Then its time to think about training them.

New Water is Set at 600 PPM 5,3 PH

Rough PPM numbers of the base fertilizer:

N 67 P 52 K 120 CA 128 MG 55

Plus roughly 1 ml Rhino Skin per Liter of Water that is 1 PPM sio2 or something.

The plan is to lower NPK numbers throughout flower by reducing the base fertilizer while adding green sensation (0 9 10) to keep PK at that level while raising P slightly in relation to K.

Might also change Base A/B relation throughout veg to lower that high K number for now and increase N these numbers are what i calculated after mixing it 50/50.

Light switched from 350 PPFD Blue light to 650 PPFD Full Spectrum at 55 cm distance.

I Topped them off with roughly 5 ml Canna Mono Nitrogen today. NPK Should be 150 50 120 now (700 PPM). PH climbed to 6,1-6,2.

There is also the first problem showing. One plants new growth is growing half yellow. Suspecting nitrogen deficiency or ph issue for now? Going to setup with slightly higher PH on future water changes. Same plant is growing noticably shorter with less nodes than the other 2 its the one on bottom right.
Other than that they are pushing strong altough still looking weak...

They seem to like the increased light and fertilizer. Slowly approaching happy plant territory. I turned the second light on, gave them a little space and put them at 1000 ppfd now. Going to see how they react my quess is they can take a lot with that water supply but id have to watch the vpd for sure. The leaves are growing thick as salad and they got massiv stems already.

Marry Christmas guys i got another update. I Topped the plants twice now over the course of 2 days and removed 2-4 leaves each plant today. Going to let them grow out for another week or two and then flip the switch. Also Gave them even more space and got all lamps running now.

For the Number nerds its a 150m X 0.75m growspace. The lamps run at 380w now and produce 730 PPFD at 80 cm measured with apogee calibrated photone.
Ive decided to just keep the lights high and let them grow more into the light as they look so beaten up right now i cant really tell whats going on anyway.

I also put the biggest plant on the left side and the smallest on the right side while running red+yellow spectrum on the right and blue+yellow on the left.

For those who are interested im going to add some photos of the light spectrums im running. Starting with early Veg only blue light. Then both mid Veg spectrums with a combination of 2/3 strips to produce yellow/blue or red/yellow'ish mix. And last full on.
Might be a little gimmicky but i need to dimm the lights anyway so might aswell play with the spectrum.

Also got the twisting leaves again i get them literally every grow no matther what medium to a point where i praised strains that didnt do it.

I would be interested in what you use to measure the spectrum lengths.
Have some extra light added to my tent and this could be interesting to measure what’s going on?
Enjoy.

interesting growlight over 40% green light?

In theory i only need to run the third picture to get around 1200 ppfd with 37% green everything from that point is sort of an experimental bonus and most likely to much. Think of it as adding your veg light in flower it will for sure increase photsynthesis while maybe also do something to the plant structure that red light wont do. If you think about it you want your flowers to grow short and "compact" so if you already have enough red...
i will for sure try to push it if the plants dont grow to close to the lights

Regarding the plants 2 of them are shooting new branches from a lot of preflower sites litteraly 2 extra branches on every node they where supposed to grow 16 and got around 25 now. Going to add a picture off this before i remove it same happend with different TH Seed strains last soil grow.
I think im gonna send them to flower at new years eve. Going to start the fans now to finally give them some air exchange and just hope they turn out nice after stretch. They barely got slowed down by the topping maybe 24 hours reduced grow max its crazy how they go in hydro.

Here is that growth i was talking about. I had the same on my last grow where i was extremely cautious not to stress them but canceled it due to pest before i saw what it really was. I quess they just want to grow more branches?
Im a bit concerned to send them to flower now in case i need to ditch these two i would veg the third one some more.

Also noticed the lights where on always on instead of 20/4... quess that explains why they are ultra short they mustve had 60 dli+.

Happy new year guys so they are growing mixed preflowers on those branches which have one pistil coming out of it and bananas inside. I think its either genetic or some sort of survival state kicked it i found some old posts on the internet and they all had them herm essentially.

Which is sad for the interesting genetics. So its going to be 1 or 2 weeks more veg a lot of topping work and one Huge tree instead at least that one has proven now to handle some stress.

Okay long story short i cut both of them and ran into a bit of a nitrogen toxicity with the last one which is already getting better and she finally starts to lift the upper leafs and looks more healty on the new growth. I almost lost all hope when the new groth turned red but turns out its just a bit cold and she starts to purple mid Veg.

Roots looked absolutely amazing on all 3 didnt even add anymore bactor the water temps are more than safe. Also added another preflower picture of the other ones.

Im unsure what do do now usually i would send her to flower with the 20 or so tops she has now and keep her from growing anymore side branches to keep the branches nice and fat. That wont fill the tent however and topping her more takes to much time.
This grow is giving me major headache the one which had normal preflowers is the one who likes the conditions the least and shows the most leaf problems.

Day 4 of 12/12 she is having a leaf mutation looks like a pistil coming out of the middle of some leaves. Other than that she is getting better.

She is having problems in leave development on the last few sets they look almost like pieces are eaten off of them i hope that does not follow her into flower.

Quick update, i stopped overthinking the whole thing feeding mostly by feel and today was the first time she got fresh water since switch.

She is flowering nicely now altough way to bushy for my taste, didnt grow out wide enough and thus some stems didnt make it the top. The Stem is monstrous again, might turn it into a pipe :)
