True story. I had several this past summer that fooled me which is rare although my eyesight isn't what it use to be but until I see hairs I don't know the sex.Probably is, any time I see that celery stalk it's usually an asshole male and producing a lack of a distinguishing tell until the last minute is what makes them assholes. I think they know we are gonna chop them as soon as they show us their balls. It's a self preservation thing.
But wait it out, sometimes you get lucky and they just haven't gotten around to throwing genitalia out yet.

Half-life is a few hours to 3 weeks, I just read. I haven't a clue how long to leave it out before it dissipates. Personally I'd put it in the grass, unless you have actual grass instead of weeds like me
