I've never known root damage to affect only one limb, have you?
I have come across this in a grow diaries entry a few times.
It is why I am super careful moving a dry pot. If dropped or bumped hard the soil can shift and chop off a whole line of roots.
I have actually dropped a couple of pots after harvest. As a test. When dry you can totally feel gaps and shifts in the dirt.
Also more than a few times when I unpot roots I find stuff that was obviously dead for some time.

That I could get and makes sense but just sticking a probe down in the pot and screwing with only one limb I haven't. I dropped tons of plants, and yes they shock and awe but I've never lost a whole branch or limb. Interesting.

I stick on average 6 Kenex into each pot for lst.
I have not experienced this but I can understand it is a remote possibility and will kick myself if it happens......

The voles killed three of my plants and wrecked my vegetable garden.
Cats.
And not store bought cats. Outdoor barn raised pure American cats.
I have 2 out of 4 that hunt. They do a great job of keeping the place rodent free.
I got more problems with possums than anything.
Would love to have a cat that could do a possum......

I have pounded T-posts, Fiber rods, Cane poles, you name it next to plants, trees, berries and have never had it effect just one limb either. But I guess it is a possibility. And like you, watch it happen now. As long as it isn't my young apple trees, I'll deal.

I always get a good look at the root ball after harvest. Mostly out of curiosity, I’m not sure what I’m looking for, but if something is obviously “wrong”, I’m going to find out what and why.

I do this too. Lots of stakes. Mostly nothing happens. But Autos seem special. And finicky. And who knows what stress can do.

@cpurola what's next on your list when your fully finished? Did you start new seeds? Or what's the plan for this year?
Not sure. I will stop and close the tent before outdoor season starts. Don't want any nasties to get in the tent over the summer. I am finding a few seeds in the Gazzurple from Humboldt and I'm tempted to just germinate them and see what happens. LOL

I remember your vole issue (or someones) over the summer now that you mentioned it.
I got Gophers

I bred a Brutus OG x Chemdog for 5+ years and back in 2019 or so I had a big fast growing one I put in the ground with hopes of a lot of smoke and around June 1st a gopher ate the stem. I was able to root a dozen cuts and there after became know as my Gopher strain😉
