I only used about inch and half from top with manure then mixed all

What is best ph test and soil tester using spring water now
Listen carefully, if you’re using commercial bag soil you don’t need to test your soil ph. Got it? If you’re using organic nutes you don’t need to test water ph. Got it? I think at this point, you need to sell the light, toss your light/pH meter, burn your grow bags, put the soil in your garden, and hang it up! I’m through trying to help someone who won’t listen.

Whats organic nutes phyto i use coco feed a and b in 100% coco coir is that organic. Spring water is no use its to high in acidic usually about 7.6 ph so u would need ph down liquid to get to 5.5 to 6 id say. Soil growing is alot different from what im trying. I get 6.68 from tap water that drops to 6.5 after 48 hrs sitting as you lose the chlorine and fluoride added from water stations but when i add my coco feed a and b the level drops to 5.8 so perfect. I dont know whats happening between u and phyto he knows his game. I dont understand why people grow in soil still just so u dont have to use nutes straight away. Adding manure no wonder the term thats good shit is said. Grow with coco no bugs etc and clean. U obviously havent listened to phytos advice as he seems annoyed. Buy a beginners grow guide, theres alot of conflict on growing whos right or wrong u can only learn through experiance. Ive screwed my first grow up in my eyes but others say i can still make it especially using calmag which is coming 2day uk time.

I’m talking about soil grows, which I made very clear. Coco is inert. You must supply all nutrients/micronutrients, it’s basically like growing in a sponge. While I have heard of a few people growing organic with coco, it’s very difficult to do so. That is why coco growers use synthetic nutrients, like canna A, B, it doesn’t need microbes or biological action to break down the nutrients to a form useable by the plant. Synthetic nutes are bound to a salt (not NaCl) and disassociate when mixed for use, releasing the nutrients in a form immediately available to the plant. There are a lot of reasons pro and con for coco. In my case I can’t grow grow with coco, my tap water sometimes has a PPM of over 1700!!!! I don’t feel like installing an R/O system, I’m tired of ph’ing every time I water, constantly check ec of runoff, flushing, and I don’t have a good way to get rid of wastewater from coco, so in my case organic soil grows are my best option. Some people tout organic as being somehow better or cleaner, but that’s crap, the nutrients absorbed by the plant, whether organic or synthetic, are exactly the same. Been doing this for over 50 years! Sorry if I sound a bit terse.

One more question for this dumb American as y'all say is this junk

If you're hell bent on testing your soil ph, use this method. PH test strips are cheap. And yes that meter is crap!

A soil pH testing kit provides more accurate results. Testing kits are available at most garden centers and through local cooperative extension offices.

  1. Dig for a Sample

    • Dig four to six inches below the soil surface using a hand trowel to obtain a 1/2 cup soil sample.
    • Take a blended soil sample from different parts of your planting area.
    • Put the soil in your clean container.
    • Break up clumps and remove any debris from the soil.

  2. Add Distilled Water to Soil Sample

    • Pour distilled water into your container to the same level as the soil, like a slurry consistency.
    • Vigorously stir the mixture, and then let it sit for 30 minutes.
    • Agitating the sample with water

  3. Drain the Sample

    • Pour the soil sample through a coffee filter and into another clean container.
    • Ensure the coffee filter captures the solids and allows the liquid to pass through.
    • Straining the sample through a coffee filter

  4. Use the pH Test Strip

Dip the test strip into the liquid. Pay close attention to the instructions on how long to leave the strip in the liquid. When the strip turns color, compare the color to the chart on the manufacturer's packaging to determine the pH.

YEAH FUCK YOU from dumb ass American I'm not post with y'all and deleting y'all good bye

You give us nothing to help you with, don't listen, most of the rest of the forum gave up, what? "I got strips." well... you do intend to do something with them? Tell us about it? Post the strips, are they good or chinese? I mean you give us NOTHING and then refuse to listen.
We do want to solve problems here.

Thanks got strips
Good, follow the directions I gave you, then let us know what the outcome is. BTW, what brand/type of soil are you using? Note: the following is for synthetic nutrient grows:.Most commercial soils are buffered, so when you add the Ph'ed nute water it will be acidic, about 6.2 PH, diffentent nutrients are absorbed by the plant at different PH's. So as the acidic nute mixture peroclates through the soil the nutrients absorbed at lower PH's will be taken in by the plant, as the nute water moves through the soil column, the buffered soil wil increase the PH, and those nutrients assimilated at higher PH levels will be available to the plant. For a coco grow, you want to PH at about 5.8, coco should also come buffered.

In the spirit of fair play, as I remain undeleted, we need to know:
WHAT brand of soil and which version, or generally describe it the best you can?
Did you do anything to it as far as additives, bone meal etc?
Did you pre-wet the soil then dry it for a day before planting?
How did the seeds sprout?
Did they get replanted?
Same questions for that soil?
How often OR how do you determine WHEN to water?
How much?
What fertilizers?
What top dress?
What is your water like?
Describe your mix and volumes for one plant per water/feeding?
What kind of pot and what's under it/drip tray?

I dont think josh is very happy why is so rude to you guys i didnt read anything offensive said to him. Strange fruit.
While im here any idea why my photos leaves are arcing but my autos are reaching up also can anyone tell me how to properly water my plants do i do a run off in to saucer every day or go by checking down an inch from top soil? I spoke to a chap yesterday and forgot to ask about this but im getting some fading on leaves and brown spots on lower leaves he thinks ive added too much nutrients so im told to let the coir dry out abit then flush with pure water then when it needs fed drop my nutes down as i was giving 2ml of a and b a litre. I just got calmag today so im holding off till i flush them, im using 10 litre plastic pots i use a 4 litre watering jug so i was adding 8ml of each nute but im told to drop to 6ml of each for my 4litre and also to use 4ml calmag first mix leave for 20 min then add nutes and then leave for 2 hrs then feed plants. This comes from the owner of one stop grow shop in the uk. Do we all agree ? Photos in terracotta pots and photos in black ones. Cheers for any help. Is skunksta still about as i tried finding him in search but cant see him. Take care troops jeffc
