Hey everyone!

- White Truffle Ice Cream
- Six 70W 4000k 6500 Lumens LEDs (420w) I know it says 68 but I cut the frosted lens off so.... Me. No. Good. Math. 0. Easier. 8.
- Hoist kit / Cheaper one at HF
- Fox Farms Ocean Forest - w/ perlite and generic potting soil (FFOF bag wasn't enough to completely fill 4 - 3 gal pots) Happy Frog would've filled all 4 perfectly
- 4x4x6.5 grow room
- Water is from my Artesian well - I don't check ph. - water was tested 10+ years ago, inspector said it's the freshest water I'll ever get - but I was redoing the plumbing at the time and put in a filter system and softner just in case, hardness is set at 3
- Nutes..... 10-10-10 grandular (yes that's all) 1 tablespoon once a week (only the past 3 weeks) on first watering - except the guinea pig plant - she'd get 1/2 or 1 tablespoon extra

These seeds sprouted on Nov, 27. and am looking for advice on when to flip. From my Sherlock Google'ing Engineering Degree I should be flipping these any day now? Tonight, tomorrow, the day after tomorrow?

Yes, I know the front left one is stunted. :( She decided to try and grow into the soil and ended up with a pig tail, she's recovered very nicely though!

Also, the back left one was my guinea pig on feeding. She would get more than the others just to dial it in, hence some of the lower yellow leaves. I flushed her 2 days ago when she developed the deadly claw disease! Lights were also raised when I saw yellowing tips.

I'm making a vod on the first half of my grow, else I'd go into way more detail. But everything is DIY with my whole setup totaling less than $100. All I'll say is it was like a sign from above telling me to grow. Planning this all out was just a walk through Menards where everything spoke to me and formed awesome ideas in my head! I also realized not to shop at Menards high as shit anymore!

Anyways! Thanks for any future advice.

P.S. the temp in that pic is from the door being open while I was doing plant maintenance. It's a makeshift room in my basement, the room hovers around 80* degrees with everything closed.

I would give it 5-6 weeks, i gave my last one just 4 weeks and some of the branches dont develope quite strong enough so if you end up with some heavy nugs they will pull the branch down. now is a good time to do some trimming as well , i would take of some of those larger leaves , especially round the bottom , that are blocking light from the lower parts.

I'll wait another week. I'm not in a hurry and still learning.

I haven't done any trimming yet so I'll get started on that.

Thanks for the replies!

Here's the pig tail girl. She wanted to grow any way that wasn't up.

Alright! I think my girls are ready for flower!? I maybe went a tad over on cleaning up the canopy, I kept it simple and if a leaf was the size of my hand+, I plucked it.

The runt needs another week but oh well, she’ll become my new guinea pig for flower nutes. Everything has been an enjoyable learning process so far!

They’re due for watering but do I flip and water tomorrow with the “bloom” nutes?
Yes you can. I cut down on the N but I still think they can use the nitrogen as the transition to bloom so I keep giving them grow nutes . I'll just give them 1/4the amount along with the bloom. What are your nutes? You did fine with removing leaf, don't take off anymore till after they finish stretching in 🌺 flower. Keep us posted.

Just 10-10-10 last 4 weeks once a week. I won’t be using anymore for the rest of the grow.

For flower, I‘ll be trying these two out. The first one has the ideal ratio?!? At least from all the research I’ve done so far.?

The second one will be on my new guinea pig (runt). Let’s see how she reacts with some steroids!

Your plant will need full nitrogen support through stretch.
It needs p and k in higher amounts after stretch but still needs nitrogen.
Almost every 2 or 3 part with bloom and grow have an overlap when both are added.
Perhaps you could see if your nutrition choice has a feed chart..........

I don’t have an exhaust set up yet. I want to diy my exhaust with the heating duct in my grow room. Planning that set up atm.

I live in a very rural area but still have some neighbors around me. Is the smell going to reach them 300 feet away outside from my basement?

I totally think that would never happen and then I see some of our bunker growers with 5 tents and 3 lb harvest from living soil 30 gallon grows and I am like " well it depends....."
😎

If you practice active charcoal filtering and act like if you get got your going to gitmo nobody’s smelling anything : )

I only smell my grow if I have the doors wide open. I’ll run a charcoal filter in the open just to scrub the air also. Its cold here now so the smell doesn’t seem to carry(nothing very loud in the shed right now anyways).

That's what I've done, except I've done more than that. I have a 4" inline fan operated by an AC Infinity Controller 69+, which also controls heat, humidity and air filtration in the room where the tents are. AC Infinity sells a window adapter that looks good. They also sell a lot of other ducting accessories. I have a thread about my grow room.

I've thought about the odor and have decided not to worry about it. We're on a 1/4-acre lot in a rural area and the vent is toward the back yard. So, there's plenty of distance between the outlet and the neighbors. I figure the odor would diffuse and disperse long before it reached anyone's nose.

Yeah, little bit too fancy for me! I'm going to install a fan in the vent blowing through a filter or active charcoal. But it's winter and cold as balls in the Midwest atm. The vent duct goes to the kitchen, and today was the first day I got a wittle whiff when the heater kicked on. I'll see how that works, maybe just putting my furnace fan on 24/7 for the last month of flower will be all I need.

I've been doing this for a while. It seems we learn something new every time we grow, think of new things to try, and solve a lot of problems. I hadn't vented outside before but did this because we were having some health problems from growing, like sinus headaches and eye irritation. So, exhausting to the outside was one of the things we did to fix the problem. The grow room thus became a "lung" room with a controlled environment. It has been fun.
