I've heard recently that you should cover the temp/ hum sensors to shield them from light and fans to get an accurate reading. However in my experience the last couple weeks it makes no difference in the readings. I do know my outdoor weather station routinely reads 120° f when the sensor is in the sun but doesn't seem to make much difference in a tent. Will probably just remove the cup next time I have to readjust the sensor.

I see a slowdown in cycle time for my humidity and I see less bounce from the system from fans crossing and synchronizing like they are gunna do.
Reduction in humidity highs and lows is important for a stable environment.

I'll think about trying it. Need to give some consideration to the design. Such things as a possible "chimney effect" and reflectivity of the material come to mind after very little thought. Might need to focus on neutralizing mediating factors. It wouldn't be helpful if the sensor cover caused excessively erroneous readings.
